Highly recommend this place. Clean. Comfortable. Well equipped. 24/7 store with complimentary coffee and many other items for sale. Trail on property. Several fire pits for roasting marshmallows. Well positioned very close to both the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive.

This location was very clean. The only things that we had an issue with was the room number was not on my itinerary so I had to call customer service to receive that info and also the supply room where you can self serve yourself to any items you wanted to buy the Cody they gave me was wrong and I couldn’t access, but other then those two things I will book again! Highly recommended.

4/10 Fair

The location is fantastic if you want access to Shenandoah NP. It's directly adjacent to the southern entrance. Aside from that, it's not great. There is NO STAFF ON SITE - which was not disclosed when booking! They send a digital code to get you in the room. When we arrived, ours did not work. We had to call the number provided and it took quite a while to get into the room with a new code. The room was a no-frills place to sleep and not much else. The pillows were rock hard and the beds were quite firm. The bathroom was dirty, especially the sink. The baseboards were filthy throughout. White walls revealed a lot of dirt that could have easily been wiped away. Unfinished woodwork in the room made it look cheap. No tissues provided, and the toilet paper was super thin. There was only water in the conditioner bottle! It's billed as a "lodge" and instead it feels like a cheap roadside motel. Lots of traffic noise in the morning from the nearby interstate. Also, when we booked our room the hotel messaged us and said that room type was not available so we booked a different room, then they messaged us again and said that was not available. They finally offered us a double queen, which we took, but it was neither of the room types we booked that were listed as available online. We also booked it as pay at-the-hotel, but as soon as we agreed to take the room they offered, the charge went through - landing on my credit card weeks in advance. So many problems with this place.

6/10 Good

I have stayed here before and I would rate my 1st experience as a 5 across the board. Unfortunately, on this visit our room had small black ants in it. When we called the number and later emailed them about the issue they did not seem too concerned. At least in the email they did apologize.

I made this booking at the very last minute. The room was lovely and is ideal for accessing Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as the wineries in Nelson County. Bed was comfy, bathroom good, and had a microwave and fridge. There is no on site staff, which would not have been a problem except I booked very very last minute. Contacted the hotel via hotels.com and email to get my room code. That process took 2 hours or so which was reasonable. Only issues during the stay were that my code did not -work on the coffee room and the AC unit in my room was noisy. Did not try to resolve since I only stayed one night. Still, was very good value for the price and would book again.
