Such a lovely hotel! The room was beautiful and very clean, and the location was perfect once I got to know my way around the Old Town a little better. We were very surprised with the high quality of the hotel, although difficult to find it was in a perfect location. The room was very big and the room facilities were as good as I've seen in any hotel. The breakfast was limited but enough to have a choice of dishes throughout our 3 night stay. The rooftop bar is an added bonus and service is second to none. For us the bar directly below our room caused no issues, yes it was noisy but hey we were enjoying a late night drink right on our doorstep. Kotor itself is incredible and far exceeded our already high expectations. Please visit and stay here you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful hotel in the very heart of town so the location is perfect. There is a bar / club directly below with blasting techno music until 1am. We stayed up each night till then as there’s no way to fall asleep. Other than that, the staff are very helpful and friendly and location is unbeatable

Located in the heart of the old town Kotor, Hotel Hippocampus is an excellent boutique hotel. Just 3 min walking from both sea gate and river gate, hotel Hippocampus is manned by excellent friendly staffs. Our superior room was very clean, beautiful stylish luxurious interior, very comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. The breakfast served was freshly made and tasteful. Highly recommended for a perfect stay in Kotor.

The hotel itself is gorgeous and located in the heart of the old town - it’s very easy to get to everywhere and there’s lots of food options around. The staff were lovely and the room was very clean. The thing that really let it down were the bars outside which blasted music until 1am - I am a heavy sleeper but even I couldn’t ignore the room vibrating from the music outside. It’s fair that this is not the hotel’s fault, and the staff were extremely apologetic but there was unfortunately nothing they could do and so it meant I got poor sleep 2/3 nights we stayed (this was on weekdays). Alternatively, you could join in on the party at the bars instead!

Loved this hotel! A boutique hotel in the heart of the Kotor old town. The facilities were 10/10 and the staff were helpful whenever we had a question. The room and the bathroom were spacious with all the amenities we could need. The breakfast every morning was great and the restaurant on the roof had and incredible view and even better food.

A lovely hotel in a renovated old house in the center of Kotor. Tastefully done in a modern style that blends well with the surroundings. Room spacious and well-appointed. Staff is efficient and warm and welcoming. Do not miss dinner on the rooftop terrace.

Staff is friendly and helpful! The unfortunate part of the stay is the hotel is surrounded by 3 bars so it was loud late into the night, not a good sleep.The AC didn't really work so we had a warm room. Hotel could improve by fixing missing baseboards and broken light fixtures in the hallway, Broken and missing toilet flush mechanism in the downstairs restroom. Not sure why we had a second refrigerator in the room that didn't work? Breakfast was good and plenty. Hotel needs maintenance!

Great hotel in beautiful Kotor

We loved our stay at the Hippocampus. All of the staff we met were really friendly and welcoming. The room was large and comfortable and breakfast was good (although a little more variety would have been welcome). The hotel is in the heart of the old town making it perfect for exploring beautiful Kotor - but it does mean it is noisy at night being next to a bar - the only downside in an otherwise amazing stay.

The property was ideally situated in the heart of the Old Town. The staff on arrival and throughtout were great and very accommodating. Breakfast was consistently very good/excellent! The rooms were spacious, warm, cosy, clean and were cleaned daily! I would definately revisit and recommend.
