We booked this vacation 2.5 weeks before arriving. We selected this specific hotel in this area due to the pool that has a small area for young children to play and swim. We were meeting up with my daughter and her two small children for the weekend. We checked in and headed to our rooms as the kids were excited to go to the indoor pool. We went to the pool and couldn't get through the door. I went to the front desk and asked how we access the pool. I was told the pool is closed for the weekend for repairs. First, why would you close your pool over a weekend for repairs on your busiest pool days??? I explained why we chose this hotel in this area. He said there is nothing I can do about it the pool is closed, sorry. I said we would like to cancel our reservation, and he told me it was too late no cancellation is allowed. I asked why I wasn't notified prior to my arrival date so, I could have cancelled and booked a hotel with a working pool. He said he doesn't know. Needless to say, my family and I were so disappointed as the purpose for this hotel was for the kids to swim during the winter. Also, the way I was treated by the front desk staff they didn't care that I just spent $400 to stay there and our needs were not met. My family and friends I mentioned this to will never book at this hotel again because of the way we were poorly treated.
