Well run guest house. Lovely staff and excellent breakfast. The staff we met were very polite and helpful, and created a relaxed atmosphere. The booking was not particularly cheap, so we were surprised that our "superior room" was half underground, quite dark, and had a queen double bed. Add to this that we paid extra for breakfast and parking, and we felt this was an expensive stay.

Loved the location - a short walk into the city but far enough out to be quiet. The rooms itself was very average. Shower backed up and we let the staff know twice. Nothing done over the 3 days we were there. Just kept backing up. Curtain rod fell down but was quickly put back up. Expected more for the price.

We absolutely loved our stay at Oldfields House! A beautiful place inside and out. Wonderful old world decor, delightful room with a view of the lovely garden. Great breakfast too. Thank you to Katie and the staff for making us feel so welcome and at home. Thank you also for helping us with further accommodation as we needed as extra night which Katie organised for us. Easy walking distance into the town centre too. Can’t wait to stay again.
