Paradise Santa Ana/Escazu
Great home away from home, quite comfortable rooms. Beautiful view of the Costa Rica central valley. Close to San Jose but not to close. Fabulous restaurant 100 meters away, sportsbars and bar restaurants 400 meters. Their is a hotel library, extensive books line two walls!

The hotel rooms are pretty nice, but its location is not very convenient. It is 30 minutes from SJO air port, and the tax fare is $35 dollars.

Do not get a basic room!
Hotel was extremely quiet... Almost empty. While some of the facilities were very nice (pool, study, outdoor seating, continental breakfast... Others were terrible. Basic rooms are small, dark and not a place you would want to spend any time inside at all. The air conditioning could not be controlled because they had one remote for all of the rooms. I think this hotel could improve greatly from better management but our one night experience was mediocre at best. Based on the beautiful photos of the premium rooms, it could be a great place to stay... Just do not book a basic room or you will be very disappointed.

Little Paradise
We stayed in a Ssuperior room for 3 nights and then came back for 2 more. It's a beautiful, intimate hotel in the mountains outside of San Jose. The views are stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful. We hope to be back! The only reason I rated the room comfort at 3 was the rooster... The rascal had a nasty voice and would start at 3:30am...
Some comments/suggestions:
1. Having a thin blanket would be nice. They have a blanket was way too warm, and the sheet was not enough .
2. The bathroom could use an extra roll of toilet paper.during our five day stay we ran out twice.
3. The breakfast was nice, but it was the same thing every single day. If you stay for more than two nights eventually you get tired of the toast.

Excellent place in Escazu!
Ringle is a quiet hotel perched on a hill overlooking San Jose - a great view! The grounds surrounding the property are extremely well maintained and full of tropical flowers, trees and birds, providing a very relaxing atmosphere. We booked the deluxe room but have been upgraded to a suite (a bedroom w/ 1-king bed and a living); the living has wide windows to let you absorb the view. Very clean room/bathroom, well-maintained building, TV, A/C, free wi-fi, pool, terrace, library, room service between certain hours. Breakfast was included in price - fresh fruits, yogurt, freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee, pastries, toast with butter and preserve. The staff went beyond the call of duty to make sure our stay there was excellent. Close to excellent restaurants. Airport transfer available for a fee.

Too remote with too few amenities
The main problem with this hotel is that it fashions itself a resort, but the rooms are quite dated to be considered resort-level and there is only one option in terms of eating on the premises. If you want to eat at another restaurant or go to a market nearby, it will be taxi ride away. Overall, the staff was nice and I got to see actual tarantulas around the place, which I thought was amazing (others may not), but I wouldn't stay again.

Beautiful location
Nice location with gorgeous view of the city but tough to get out in the morning due to traffic.
Large pool but not heated and water too cold to get in.
A non-working Jacuzzi in most romantic location was a tease.
No coffee maker in the room. Nowhere to sit in the room!
Our room had tin roof. Things falling on the roof from trees at night made it tough to have sound sleep.

Dissatisfied with my stay
Sadly I was extremely disappointed in my stay at Ringle. The check in office is terrible and very uninviting, as was your staff. I felt like I was staying in a cheap hostel. The suite I was offered had windows directly to the main patio (zero privacy and felt like I was in a fish bowl), so I had to keep the blinds shut at all times. I saw maids cleaning the suite next door and your staff wouldn't let me pay to upgrade as they said there was a "hold" on that room for 24 hours. How does that work when I'm there on the property ready to pay you money on the spot? And nobody checked into that room that night. No clean/bottled water was offered and the restaurant was closed. No wifi in the rooms, and taxi cabs and uber could never find the hotel. Bed was hard as a rock, uncomfortable, and no patio in the room as they portrayed for the suites on the website. Pool was also cold. I would have checked out after 5 minutes of being there but it wasn't an option via your refund policy. I will never stay in this hotel again, and will never refer anyone to this hotel.

Beautiful Hotel!
Ringle Resort was absolutely beautiful! We were there for 6 nights. Everything was VERY well maintained - the pool, the hotel ground, and the room. The breakfast was great - fruits with pastry, fresh juice and delicious coffee. The view that the hotel had was great - it pretty much overlooks San Jose. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come stay at Ringle again the next time we go back.

Although we only stayed for one night, it was a pleasant experience. Dinner in their restaurant was very good and afforded fantastic night views. Breakfast on the pool patio was also quite good, with a sizeable bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee and delicious fresh breads.

Ringle Resort Hotel Stay
The staff at Ringle Resort are amazing; Rodney and Marco work very hard to ensure everything is operational. The food is good for dinner. The continental breakfast becomes tiresome after a few days (same food every single day). Only dinner is served; there is no lunch or other food options, vending machines, etc. There are snacks for purchase in the office but choices are limited. If you are looking for excitement, activities, numerous food options, then Ringle will be very disappointing. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet in addition to a secluded area, then Ringle may work for you. Also, the hotel is located in an area where there are only a few restaurants within walking distance and the walk may be difficult for some due to traffic and crazy drivers. Finally, once you enter the resort, there is a very steep hill, if you have health problems, it may become difficult to walk up and down regularly; Ringle does not offer a golf cart to get up to the resort.
