1 nt stay, hotel in great location close to river & city. Chose due to standard & outdoor pool, which unfortunately was rather cool with limited sun beds. Staff at reception very pleasant and efficient. Able to check in early as the 16:00 stated is ridiculous. Room & bathroom spacious, pillows poor. Breakfast great value and good selection and quality. Let down by staff not clearing and preparing the tables quickly. In conclusion a great hotel which in our opinion could make so much more of itself.

Good choice for staying

Torun is a beautiful city 2,5 hours from Gdansk. Typical Polish square with nice old houses and many restaurants. Hotel has a nice location and many activities there with pool indoor and outdoor, bowling, biliard, restaurants, tennis courts and so on. Big selection of food for breakfast and people in reception speak English as well.

Needs improvement

Nice comfortable rooms. Checked in on Christmas, knowing it was Christmas, and called a day ahead asking what my dining options were. Was told there is a reservation only buffet that requires prepayment. Fine, I don't care, I need to eat. Prepayment options consistented of Polish only banking options which don't work if you're not Polish so I was told too bad despite offering to pay pash upon arrival or anything that would ensure I could eat. Tough luck was the abridged answer. Unfortunately the restaurant called Salt was open until 17:00 and I arrived at 16:00 something so I didn't starve to death but the food was mediocre at best and way overpriced wine was a half pour at best, maybe quarter. I'm no stranger to the finer things if I'm getting value and I most certainly did not as the food was concerned. Changed went to the pool area around 19:00 and was told they were closing (Christmas?) Didn't ask, just rolled my eyes. Place left a sour taste in my mouth. Room was very comfortable and clean as were common areas. No English TV, not even one channel. All staff spoke amazing English. Do better guys, it's a nice place won't take much to make it great
