We loved this little gem of a place with lots of character. The staff are super nice and speak good English - they arranged airport pickup and late check-in flawlessly and helped us find a restaurant 2 mins away still open with delicious food when we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and pretty, the bathroom small but modern, the breakfast was wonderful with lots of options and the pool/hot tub area was divine to relax in after a hot day sightseeing. The location in old town was convenient for walking. Everything worked well including aircon.

This is an unusual and quirky hotel in a great location. Loved the decor and the staff were very nice and helpful. Enormous breakfast, way too much really as they brought it out to you, rather than you choosing for yourself. We had booked a room with a balcony that we could sit out on, but we were upgraded to a larger room with two balconies. Unfortunately, you couldn't sit out on the balconies. Also despite being called a junior suite, and whilst nice, there was no seating area and so you could only sit on the bed. There is room to put two chairs and a small table which would make the room more comfortable. Would stay again because of the great location and staff.

Lovely hotel, made to feel very welcome by the staff. The breakfast was amazing and could have fed at least 4 people and there was only 2 of us! My husband and I are blown away by the level of care and service at Porta di Castro. The breakfast here every morning is great (it’s impossible to leave here hungry) and they were so helpful with everything we asked about. The hotel is well located to several attractions here in Palermo, it really is a must stay. We would come back to stay here if our future journeys bring us back to Palermo. Just, wow!
