We recently completed a family stay at Native Hyde Park and had a solid experience overall. The Pros: Location & Check-in: Check-in was completely seamless with instructions sent well in advance. You simply cannot beat the proximity to Paddington Station—it made getting around London with kids effortless. The Apartment: The space was clean, reasonably appointed, and very functional for a family. Having a spacious kitchen with working appliances, including an in-unit clothes washer, was a huge plus in a crowded city like London. The bathroom was also quite spacious. Things to Keep in Mind: Lower Level / Basement Location: We were placed in a lower-level/basement 2-bedroom unit, which was disappointing. With temperatures hitting 90°F in London during our stay, the lack of air flow, missing street views, and inability to open windows made the apartment feel uncomfortably warm at all times. While we understand AC is rare in historic UK buildings, having zero view or natural breeze made it feel a bit claustrophobic. Final Thoughts: Many of these quirks are likely due to the heritage nature of the building. It’s still a very solid, family-friendly option for London—just be sure to request an upper-floor apartment if you’re visiting during the summer months!

Starting with the positives, the location is excellent, with Paddington Station just a few minutes' walk away, and the staff were friendly. Our biggest disappointment was the room itself. Based on the listing photos, we expected a modern room with an updated kitchen and bathroom. Unfortunately, the room we were given looked nothing like the photos and was noticeably dated and worn. The images used in the listing do not accurately represent all room types, and this should be made much clearer to avoid misleading guests. They also only clean the rooms every 3 days so don’t expect daily servicing. We stayed during a period of hot weather which made the room extremely uncomfortable as there was no aircon, only a single fan, which was not sufficient to keep the room cool. We would not recommend staying here during the warmer months.

The rooms were very spacious, clean and well equipped. It was lovely to walk in and immediately had a cup of tea. Shower was great. Beds were comfortable. The absolute best was the location… very nicely located. I did t live that my whole party of three, including my son had to provide passports and a slew of information but other than that it was perfect. Virginia (Ginny) was excellent.
