A lovely family run hotel both clean and comfortable with a lovely pool and a small bar where you can sit on the terrace under grapevines and look at the beautiful view. The hotel restaurant is extremely good and parking and breakfast are free. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and will be back.

Really great stay at Berne! Very clean, comfortable, and welcoming family-owned boutique hotel. The service was excellent, the rooms were super comfortable, and the pool was nice too. Breakfast was also really good every morning. You can really feel the care and attention they put into the hotel. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay.

A lovely, friendly hotel with good food

A lovely, friendly hotel. Our room, on the first floor, was recently refurbished and the hotel was about to close for three weeks to complete the upper floor. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay and the food was excellent, as was the locally sourced wine. Breakfast each day was buffet service with a good selection of foods. A lovely place to stay with an outdoor pool for relaxing after a long hot walk. There is a small supermarket very nearby which is great for picking up provisions for lunch on the move.

Very nice. Only suggestion would be to add a small refrigerator in room.

My family had an amazing stay with Hotel Berne! We loved the breakfast!! They also serve lunch and dinner, which is very convenient and delicious. The family who owns the place is very friendly. If you are planing your trip to Serra da Estrela, this is the place to stay!
