Love the mom and pop motels! This place is clean, quiet, cheap and an easy drive to the Soo locks and local restaurants. Check in was fast and simple, the motel was busy while we were there and parking is tight, but it all worked out.

I absolutely love this little Motel. I highly recommend this for an over night stay or a week stay. It’s super cute, clean, cozy, remodeled and the bed was super comfortable and I loved that it’s close to the Soo Locks, casino and downtown. Perfect for fisherman or fisherwoman. The office also has an amazing bait and tackle shop on site. The boat ramp is very close by and is a perfect place to watch the freighters pass by. I know I’ll be back!

The room was clean, recently remodeled, cozy, quiet and comfortable. It felt like we were sleeping in a guest room at a friend's house rather than a motel. We watched some of the river traffic right from our room window. It is conveniently close to downtown. We will definitely stay here again on our next overnight in the Soo.

It was a pleasure to stay at The Last Resort. The room was very clean, the mattress extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful and kind. Being on Portage Rd. made it very easy to go down the street directly to the Soo Visitor Center, Soo Lock boat tours, etc. This is a prime location to visit all the great attractions of Sault Ste. Marie. We highly recommend The Last Resort as our first choice for vacationing in Sault Ste. Marie.
