Property is in transition as rooms are updated and remodeled. Nevertheless, it's clean, comfortable, and located in the village of Meadows of Dan. Ken and staff are helpful and friendly. A retro vibe and a great value.

A great value! Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable and staff/management were most welcoming and eager to assist. Meadows of Dan is a great little village in a truly beautiful part of VA on the Parkway. The accommodations are a bit spare, but we will definitely stay here again!

This is an older hotel that is being renovated. Our room was remolded, very clean and comfortable. The area is right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very quiet. There is a little restaurant just the road for dinner and a small coffee shop across the street that serves breakfast sandwiches and has great coffee. I would stay here again.

This motel is under renovation and they are doing a great job!! Rooms already are a clean slate and decorating is in progress. Staff has stories to tell about this gem and were quick to visit and share. Clean comfortable, quiet and convenient to the parkway and the sweet town of Meadows of Dan. Will recommend!!

My room was clean. The new owner and staff very helpful. They have been upgrading. Bed was comfortable and new. Fridge, mini mr coffee coffee maker, and microwave in my room#6 all new and working great. The large TV will put my home tv to shame. Would definitely stay there again.

Fine for a bike overnight on the Blueridge parkway. Nothing fancy but adequate for our needs. Close to to restaurants and quick marts. Reasonable prices but could have had better pillows!

Fabulous! It is so rare to find a spotlessly clean, affordable motel nowadays, let alone a place with a personality, instead of the identical rooms of chain motels. Our room was remodeled with taste: lovely hardwood floors, pretty lamps, an original painting of a mountain, super convenient clothes and towel hangers on beautiful wooden boards, and a real double shower curtain. We enjoyed a very peaceful 3-day family stay: it was wonderful to sit outside on the pretty old-fashioned wrought iron chairs with a book and cup of coffee. The fridge with a separate freezer door was very much appreciated, as well as the microwave and coffee maker. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and the motel is located just off the Blue ridge parkway: very convenient for access to hikes, bluegrass music events and delicious home cooking. The place to go!

Not enough plug-ins in room,and what was there were lose plugs wouldn't stay in. Beds were very uncomfortable. Okay for one night, we were supposed to stay two nights but left after one. Otherwise it was clean and well stocked.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Rooms are newly remodeled. But tv did not work right. Even after staff came and worked on it. Remote would not alter volume or channel and could not turn it off.

This is a no-frills inn. The room was very clean, and the owner was very nice and helpful. The room was very cold (it was cold and rainy when we arrived) and we could not find any heat source. Called the owner who instructed us to move the table between the two beds and the heater was in the wall. Once we moved the table, the heater put out great heat. This was a basic room, but clean, warm and dry, and at a very reasonable price. There was a small fridge and coffee pot in the room.
