Really nice 2 bed flat. The pool was great. The owners were really helpful and friendly. The beach was 5 minutes walk across the road and it was a fantastic beach. Only 10 minutes drive to the next town where there is a supermarket. The property needs a bit of updating inside, the bathroom smelt of mould. The internet didn’t work. But other than that it was a lovely stay

Perfect for what we needed. Very clean ground floor with a little kitchenette. Parking right outside room. Very close to Le Shuttle and Cite Europe. 1 block from the dog-friendly beach. Unfortunately, restaurants within walking distance were closed, but we found one 5-minute drive away. Would definitely recommend

Excellent Hidden Gem

Excellent location, literally over the road for a stunning beach and short walk to some nice restaurants. This was a great choice for us as it was so close to the Calais ferry port and we really enjoyed our stay.

Het appartement voldeed aan onze verwachtingen. De wellness is uiteraard de grote extra troef van dit hotel. En de locatie vlak bij het wandelstrand uiteraard. De vriendelijke eigenaar runt dit hotel op een correcte wijze.

Great place to stay on a car trip in a lovely part of the country. Great hidden off street parking for cars. The owner was very helpful and gave great tips. Even helped us out of a spot of bother with one of the cars.

A nice address for a short stay. Just a minute from the seaside, free swimming pool and parking. Accommodation is somewhat old fashioned, but there are blinds to sleep in darkness

Good location over round from beach. Has own car park. 2 bed apartment has large living area. One bed in entrance room and have to navigate sloping ceiling. Property is a bit tired but furniture comfortable. 11 mins from channel tunnel and the cote d’opale is very scenic. Had excellent meal at restaurant cap blanc nez which is just a few doors away.

Comfortable B&B with spa.

Very nice B&B in the small Village of Sangatte close to the Eurotunnel. Very friendly snd helpful owner who speaks really good English. Good breakfast. Good showers and comfortable beds. Cleaning is not included. There is a lovely pool, a hot tub and a spa but no restaurant but there is a very good restaurant only 6 houses away. Good shopping in the neighborhood. Really recommend this place.

Well positioned for Le Shuttle, and for the beach - if you can find a way through the private beachfront properties that block the way. No such thing as a beach view. Sangatte is primarily residential with just one good restaurant anywhere near, but if you want to stroll to a bar for a cool beer - forget it. Everywhere except the restaurant requires driving, but parking is very good. The exterior of the property has seen better days, but then its coastal. Our apartment had benefit of some newish furniture and good supply of kitchen equipment, but poor in other ways. The outside door lock worked...only just. TV has only 4 channels, so not really worth bothering with and no chance of seeing a World Cup game. The bathroom is strictly one person at a time, and, while Syd Little might fit in the shower, Eddie Large would struggle to get inside. The shelf over the washbasin is hanging off the wall, but the main, serious, problem was the repeated failure of the cistern to refill. This meant it was a matter of luck whether the toilet flushed or not. Not good! Overall, just about acceptable for a pre-shuttle overnight or two. Lack of attention to the basics lets it down and I would hate to think I was stuck there for a fortnight.

Peu mieux faire

A very quaint find. Our chain hotel overbooked and cancelled our reservation but Expedia agent found us this family run hotel. It was way out of the area of Calais that we were expecting to stay at and we needed to take a bus to get there into another town. Unfortunately the bus driver was of no assistance in where to let us off at so that was stressful, but when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Such nice Owners, who waited for us to arrive, greeted us in English and put us last minute into a lovely little apartment with a sitting area and fully stocked kitchen, that we didn't need at the time. This would be so handy if we were staying longer in the area. He even escorted us to the suite, a nice touch and gave us lots of information about the area. Bed was very comfy. Right close to the beach, so we were able to walk on the very large beach. Breakfast the next morning was lovely with your typical foods, but they were very fresh and lots of yummy selection of cheeses locally made and fresh breads. We would definitely stay there again if we were in that area.
