I genuinely enjoy writing positive reviews, which is why I hesitated before writing this one. However, I feel it’s only fair to share my experience so future guests know what to expect.
We arrived at almost 8 PM after a long trip. We were a group of four, including my 80-year-old mother. At that hour, I expected the check-in process to be simple and immediate.
Instead, we had to go up to the third floor and look around for someone who could check us in. We waited, hoping that someone would come, but no one did. Eventually, I had to contact Expedia customer service for assistance. Only after that did a staff member appear.
I also found it very confusing that the check-in area was apparently on the fourth floor. Why not provide this information to guests in advance? After traveling for hours, the last thing anyone needs is to walk around a hotel trying to figure out where to go and find someone to assist them.
I won’t go into all the details of my communication with the hotel owner, but I will say that the overall experience fell well below what I consider reasonable hotel standards.
I paid for a hotel room, and I believe it is fair to expect a few basic things: prompt check-in, and clear instructions.
