This Area is lovely and the climate is really perfect. My room at Casa Encantada was not available because there was some damage after a recent earthquake and I was rebooked at the hotel next door: Casa Pensitiva. It was amazing. I appreciate that the staff at Encantada made this switch so smooth for me!

This honestly was the best hotel I think I've ever stayed at, and I've traveled quite a bit! Centrally located before enough away that you can sleep quietly at night, beautiful and local features and decor, anything you could need if you forgot something at home, beautiful volcano views right outside the door, and sister hotel with an incredible pool. Oh, and of course, very affordable. Grateful for my stay!

Really was a great property only issue with us was the shower head keep dripping water could not close the valve for the hot water in the shower causing a sauna in the bathroom due too keep leaking hot water couldn’t really sleep with so much noise of the water dripping but other than that really safe place

Super comfy bed, great breakfast, lovely rooftop terrace, and very kind staff. You have to ring the bell to get let in so it felt very secure. They partner with the larger Porta hotel next door so you can use the pool, sauna, & gym there.

Staff was lovely and property gorgeous and well located to walk around. Only difficulty was the sound - room insulation was poor so you could hear noises from other rooms and we were regularly hearing the bell for guests that were waiting outside and wanted to enter the grounds. That said, it was an adorable property and I'd definitely stay again.

It was absolutely lovely. So cute and personal. The rooftop terrace for breakfast was fantastic. The food was so good. My daughter loveeed the oatmeal and smoothie bowls. The service by Lalo was great. Super thoughtful and attentive. It’s a short walk to the town center. I felt super safe in the area. You’re able to use their sister hotel for a larger and heated pool which was great. All around great experience.

What a property! Everything about this stay was amazing. From the rooms, to the service, to the breakfast, I was blown away. The security was top notch and in a great location that was walkable to the city centre. We stayed at two properties while on our trip in Antigua (we were there for a wedding so stayed at the venue hotel [Santa Domingo] for a couple of nights) but were SO GLAD to be back at Casa Encantada. SD was apparently "the best hotel in Antigua" but it is clearly a money grab and a lie. STAY WITH CASA ENCANTADA, they treat you with such respect and once again the hotel is amazing. By far the better hotel in Antigua, 5 stars across the board.

The staff provided an excellent service. Rooms were very clean. The only down was that the room did not have an AC unit and the temperature on June 20th was warm. The staff provided a floor fan unit. We got intoxicated with sea food and their immediate assistance was amazing. They got us a nurse & doctor that recommended us to the private practice. Overall, recommended.

The second day I notified the front desk I had a shuttle pick up at 1:45 on my last day and requested a late check out and assumed it was ok since the front desk listened and did not respond “no”. On the day of my departure I received a call in my room at 11:10 informing check out was at 11:00. I said I had requested a late check out. Hotel response “no”. I had to scramble my belongings together in minutes to get out of the room. When I asked to leave my bag at the front desk until 1:45 … that entailed an arduous call to the manager to get approval to leave my luggage. I felt very unwelcome and as I often travel to antigua I will never book a room again at this hotel
