The staff member was ver helpful but parking was troublesome as it was very tight. There was another car park around the back which was much more accessible. Have advice of places to eat in nearby area. All good.

Cheap, quiet and clean with helpful staff. Building was once a beautiful gothic victorian spa and has a lots of original features. Sadly the the building and decor have seen better days, but what can be expected at such a lot cost?

Please please please do not stay here. The whole place is very dirty and it smells dirty. The photos are certainly not the Green gables we stopped at last night. They are nothing like what we experienced. We were given 2 keys, 1 for the front door and 1 for the room. Both opened the room which worried me. When we came back last night the front door wasn't even locked anyway because there were people in and out going round the back of the building. The building is old yes, but that isn't the problem. It needs closing down and a thorough clean and paint. It could be nice if it was given tlc. The room was on the 1st floor and the steps leading up to it were filthy with loose carpet tiles on the landing. The smell was bad but it was worse in the room. It was a dirty smell probably from the filthy stain laden carpet. The bed looked clean, but when I laid my head down the pillow stank of body odour. I rang the number on the booking and spoke to someone who said he could make sure we got clean pillows this morning but we were leaving at 10 so I slept with a towel over the pillow. I daren't get into the bed so slept ontop of the duvet and this morning my legs were bitten to he'll. The toilet stank of urine as if it was soaked into the floor and the corners of the shower tray were disgusting. It looks like they have tried to modernise the bathroom but it is still dirty. We had to stay last night because it was late and we couldn't get anywhere else. There's more but no room to write

A shoutout to the receptionist

The hotel is amazing. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. When we mentioned the sea he even showed us around in his car. Highly recommend.

Its not the most stylish or modern of places to stay but it has a lovely feel to it. Staff are honest, i left my ear buds and they handed them in. The building is quirky but i was so relaxed with my kids cos there was nothing to break/damage. I could smoke on the balcony and no one cared. I will stay here again 100%
