Great stay at the Linen Bank, Check in was quick and easy friendly staff. Room was exactly what i need for a one night stay. The bed was really comfy and got a good sleep. Room temperature was good but easily adjustable if needed. Enjoyed my early morning Coffee before setting off home. Would recomend and hope to be back next year.

We had a very pleasant stay at Linen Bank and would definitely return. Reception was warm, welcoming and genuinely helpful, making check-in quick and straightforward. It immediately set a positive tone for the stay. Parking was easy and convenient, which is always a bonus when staying centrally. The location is excellent — right in the centre of town with very easy access to the train station, making it ideal for both short breaks and onward travel. The room was well equipped with everything you might need. Having a microwave, fridge and sink was particularly useful and made it feel more flexible than a standard hotel room. The TV and en-suite bathroom were both practical and well maintained, providing a comfortable and functional space. Dropped a star as the shower was faulty and window we were unable to fully close. Overall, Linen Bank offers great convenience, thoughtful facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. We would definitely choose to stay again.

This is a beautifully restored property but it is on a cobbled street where the traffic is going past and it is worse than sleeping alongside the A1. Thankfully we only booked for one night because we got very little sleep.
