I can’t say enough positive things about my experience here. Incredibly beautiful with amazing staff. The location is great too. The pool area is great as well as the upstairs patio. This place has literally everything you could ever need. Very aesthetically pleasing too. I will say it was very loud in the morning so if you’re a person that likes to sleep in, I might request a room away from the noise. I’ll definitely be back.

Great Stay for Solo Female Travel!

I cannot recommend Ginger Banana enough! The hostel is nice and centrally located. The space is calm, clean, and cute.The space was great, but the best part of Ginger Banana was the people! The staff seriously went above and beyond to help me navigate the city/find tours and make me feel welcome. They helped me feel comfortable and taken care of as a solo traveler. If you’re looking to visit Oaxaca City, definitely stay here.

Amazing hostel. Clean. Bunks were comfy and space was not crammed even though they were ”many”. Service was great and it felt very home-y. Great areas for socializing. One of the better hostels I’ve stayed at. Very chill vibe so if you are looking for a party vibe kind of place, this is not it. But truly amazing.

Llevo muchos años viajando por el mundo, y pocos hoteles como éste. Todos los detalles que tienen podrían convertirlo perfectamente en un hotel de 5 estrellas. El gusto exquisito de la decoración me dejó alucinada. La piscina, la cocina, el salón del cine, el comedor, todo fue perfecto. Los dueños son maravillosos. Han construido de un sitio un ruinas una auténtica maravilla. Nosotros nos hospedamos en una habitación individual con baño propio, y fue todo un acierto. El personal fue maravilloso, la limpieza excelente. Si tenemos la suerte de volver a Oaxaca, volveríamos al ginger banana sin dudarlo.

El lugar es muy agradablecon muchas plantas, bien ubicado, muy limpio y nuevo. Tiene cocina, refrigerador, puedes cocinar ahi, sala, la alberca muy limpia. El personal muy amable y al pendiente. Yo rente una habitación privada y muy cómoda. Lo único que no me gustó fue la regadera, tenía una fuga en el tubo, salía para todos lados y no era fácil regular la temperatura.
