This is a solid budget hotel that provides all the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. We booked two rooms; while the first one had a strong odor, the staff changed it for us immediately without any hassle.
Once settled, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable enough for a great night's sleep. There were a few minor quirks: one room had a hairdryer while the other didn't, and my flat sheet had a few tears in it. However, the sheet was perfectly clean, and given the responsive service, I’m confident they would have replaced it had I asked. The AC is fairly loud, but we were so exhausted it didn't bother us at all. We did notice some condensation on the floor in the morning—likely just the perils of staying in NY during a heatwave!
A nice bonus is the lobby amenities. Since there's no water or coffee in the rooms, I really appreciated the free water, coffee maker, and ice machine in the lobby, plus the ice buckets provided in the rooms. Overall, a practical and good-value choice.
