Charming!
Our stay went smoothly. The room was adorable and the shared bathroom was spacious and clean with a separate shower and bathtub option. There were places to eat and a grocery store within walking distance.

The shower didnt work, the TV didnt work, the wifi didnt work, no hair dryer (it didnt matter as i couldnt shower). Bathroom was outside the room, past the front door communal area and hall (it may have said this on booking, i dont recall, not ideal walking past the front door in pj's at 2am though)
Bed was comfy though, close to gatwick and lucky with on site parking as we managed to squeeze in a tiny spot that somehow didnt block anyone else in. We were only there for 10 hours , a little dissappinted as i couldnt shower before a long flight but i guess it served its purpose.

Arrived at a pitch black compound with no lighting, had to rely on my phone's flashlight. My son FELL DOWN in the darkness. Called the service number for help and was basically told 'other guests managed, so you should too'. Not only is this unsafe, it's unacceptable customer service. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Möttes av en värdinna i bikini !!!! . Urusla sängar. Nyckel saknades till ett av våra 2 rum. Stökigt på bakgården. Hundbajs på gräsmattan. Smutsigt på rummen.

There are 2 dohs that live on the property. My sister is allergic to dogs. The dog wouldn't stop barking! We had to leave and get a hotel! There was dirty dishes in our room. One of the beds was sofa bed and it was bent in the middle. I have pictures and a video of the dog barking!

Don’t recommend!!!
Drunk owner came out to us after being told she had ‘went to bed ‘ before check in time smelling of booze . We was then shown to our room that was already full , i assume no bed changes was made …. Supposedly pet friendly ( look at the stairs ) . We found a screw on the floor and cupboards full with various bits and pieces . Wouldn’t ever recommend this place !!

I am not sure if this means anything, but I will have to say anyway. I know they have a policy of checking in at 10:00 pm, but they do not take into consideration that people who travel by plane might have flight delays. So, I had a flight delay and I arrived at the hotel after 10:00 pm. There was no sign, no lights to see if anyone one could helped. I left with luggage in the middle of the night to find another hotel. First, I think that I should be reimbursed, and second, I think that it a bad practice for the hotel not to have an emergency mechanism in case of emergency. That experience was traumatic for me. And I will give very negative reviews

Dear Hotel Management
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent experience I had following a hotel booking made at approximately 10pm.
After booking, we took a taxi to the hotel, which took around 30 to 40 minutes. Upon arrival, the building was completely dark and the front door was locked. We knocked, and eventually a woman opened the door, but she seemed unaware of our reservation and refused to allow us into the room.
She asked me to call someone for assistance, but no one answered the phone despite several attempts. As a result, we were left stranded outside late at night.
Fortunately, there was another hotel just across the street, which kindly accommodated us. Otherwise, we would have had nowhere to stay. I attempted to contact customer support through the website, and although they did reach out to the hotel, the hotel refused to provide a refund.
I am extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled. Not only were we denied access to a room we had paid for, but the refusal to refund the booking adds further frustration. Had there not been another hotel nearby, or had I not had the means to pay for an alternative, the situation could have been even worse.
I kindly request that this matter be reviewed and that a full refund be issued as soon as possible.

Bizarre experience
A stay at the Hazelwick left us bemused and as if we’d spent a night in a parallel reality.
I’m fine with quirky places but this was on another level. There were some good points- our room was more of a cottage with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. The location was good for Gatwick airport and we received a friendly welcome.
However, when we arrived, the owner didn’t answer the door and another guest had been waiting there for over half an hour despite it being 40 minutes after check in. We eventually raised the owner on the phone and she’d been inside all along!
We got the distinct impression she hadn’t been expecting us! We were then ushered into the garden while she rushed to make up a room for us. She never asked our names. We could’ve been anyone!!
In the garden were two dogs which jumped up at us constantly having bolted down the road resulting in another guest having to run after them! My biggest concern was that the garden was full of dog muck (eughh) which the dogs were treading in and then putting their paws all over us. As we were shown our room 30 minutes later, the dogs came in too but worse still, the door had a dog flap so it was very difficult to keep them out.
The room itself was ok, a bit shabby in places- think hippy vibe. One shower wasn’t working, but the other did.
We left feeling that the owner is struggling a little with the running of the guesthouse and not quite in control. It’s in serious need of some refurbishment too.

Terrible accommodation
This place is advertised as a hotel, but is just a big house with no one there to help.
We arrived at 9.30 at night as you had to be there before 10pm as it stated attended for check in until then. We arrived in an Uber and rang the bell and knocked on the door with no answer. We rried to call the number provided which wasnt answered and the website was out of service. Eventually, a poor young girl frightened answered the door, I asked her if she worked there and she said she was a guest who arrived an hour ago and the same as us she couldn't get in. After several attempts someone answered her call and gave her a code to get in with the instructions to choose a room. We did the same and chose a room ( I dont know what happened to someone checking your photo id details that you were requsted to present....to who?) , once we got to our room with dirty sheets on one bed and no towels, we locked the door to try and get som sleep only to be woken up around midnight by people on the driveway and then in the house, this was a very frightening situation and I felt very sorry for the young girl on her own. The people were loud for around an hour before finally quietining down but we were scared and could not sleep, then around 02.30, another loud group of people showed up which I found very odd as we couldnt get in and you could only check in before 10pm. We got up around 07.00 and left and the young girl had already gone. This place should be removed from your accommodation pool and

Mattresses needs replacing
Information in the guest book is outdated.
No waste bins in the bathroom or bedroom.
No clear instructions of dining facilities to use. The room we had was very cluttered

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés personne sur place, aucune clé de disponible lorsque la personne est venue donc notre porte a été débarrée toute la nuit de plus le matelas, nous ressenti les ressorts il y avait des cheveux des poils il y avait même des canettes sous le lit vide de la poussière, les rouleaux de minou dans les coins Les draps étaient à sécher dehors
