Room was adequate, needs decorating, carpet badly stained, tv didn't show any live tv, weak signal. Shower had very weak flow, leaked everywhere, very thin walls, could hear people walking about, talking etc, room comes with mini fridge, breakfast basket, no cooked breakfast, mattress thin , pillows thin, car park ok, free, only enough space for around a dozen cars, so come early if you want to park, this hotel has 29 rooms. Bit of a trek from the centre of town, but from the front you can see brittania pier and joyland, around a ten minutes walk. Staff friendly, the whole hotel could do with a lick of paint, maintenance etc a little dated. But quiet location which is good. Would i stop here again? Possibly, But there are better hotels, that are closer, if some what slightly dearer, however these were mainly booked up on the dates we wanted, plus didnt have a car park or you had to pay to park. All in all a ok hotel.

It’s a cheap hotel near the beach, and if that’s all that you’re looking for, you’ll be okay. It’s not in great shape, but there wasn’t really anything wrong with it. There only seemed to be one staff member there, but she was friendly and helpful. My room was clean but didn’t seem like it had been vacuumed very well. Carpets were coming up in places and the walls seemed very thin.

The property is currently undergoing renovation, The main public areas and our room were freshly decorated, clean & tidy. The staircase is overdue for updating and will lift the level when done. The staff could not have been more helpful and breakfast service as good as any other place.

The room was clean but the walls needed repainting as there were watermarks on some of the walls. Decor had been updated though as well as furnishings. Shower was very temperamental so ended up having a bath instead as couldn’t regulate the temperature. Friendly helpful staff as always .

Our room was clean. The bed linen and towels were of good quality. The room has a tv and tea and coffee making facilities which is nice. Breakfast was adequate. The walls a very thin and we were woken up very early by guests in the next room turning their tv on very loudly. We arrived quite late and there was no car parking available, but managed to park in the road. Apart from that we had a good stay and would come again.

Pleasant surprise

After reading reviews, I was a little unsure whether to book. However, I only need accommodation for one evening. I called the morning I was due to travel and was advised that there was a refurbished room available and although I was booking online I could add a note to request. Our room was much better than I envisaged over looking the front with a sea view. Comfortable bed, two nice chairs in the room by the window which we liked. Bathroom was fine, clean, just needs the radiator replacing or painting. We enjoyed 3 games of pool which my son really enjoyed. This was in the downstairs area, with bar and nice seating outside. Next morning we both enjoyed a good breakfast with cereals, toast and a cooked breakfast. Tea for two and plenty of juice to choose from too. I would book again and look forward to seeing the renovations continue. Overall great affordable overnight stay with a fab breakfast.

Staff Friendly, only one person cleaning rooms, no cooked breakfast, hamper in room. Yet when booked it advertised cooked breakfast. Room wasn't cleaned once in our 3 night stay. Didn't refresh towels, had to asked for clean cups, no glasses provided for orange juice. Whole hotel could do with some maintenance done, new carpets, window locks broken, could do with painting, things just generally need updating certainly wouldn't stay again wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
