You can expect a good standard in all regards: Clean rooms, nice staff, regular breakfast (crowded but you will find a place), small parking lot but other parking places near by, so my guess is you won‘t be disappointed. And Bochum is of course a great place to be, whether for Starlight Express (50m away), the soccer team (Stadium a couple of 100m away), zoo, mining museum, nightlife at Bermuda3Eck.

Obviously this hotel would be the best option if you booked the Starlight Express show as it's literally next door to the venue. The staff were polite, helpful, efficient, and spoke great English. Rooms were clean and functional and there is an option to book a buffet dinner for after the matinee or after the evening show. The hotel will costa bit extra than the ones further away, but it is more than worth it. Make sure you check in at least half an hour before the show as there may be queues from other guests during that time.

The location is great next to the Starlight Express Theatre which we were visiting. Unfortunately the bar was closed after we’d seen the show although we were able to use the fridge in the lobby. Breakfast was a buffet style and an excellent selection. The room was a good size although the decor was rather dated. Overall we had a good stay.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, egal in welchem Bereich. Wir hatten einen Hund dabei. In dem Zimmer lag ein hundebett und ein Napf set. Der Hund durfte sogar zum Frühstück mit. Unser Hund liegt aber in der Ecke und den bemerkt man auch nicht. Zimmer sauber. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Frühstück war auch sehr gut.

Nach einer netten Rückfrage (Anreise mit zwei Kindern), ob wir vor dem Musical Besuch schon einchecken können, wurde dies verneint mit der Begründung, die Abreisenden sind erst um 11 weg. Dies war für uns kein Problem! Als die Dame dann aber sagte, dass sie gegen eine Gebühr zwei Zimmer zum einchecken hätte, fanden wir dies doch recht merkwürdig…sind dann die Personen nicht auch um 11 gegangen? Frühstück und Zimmer waren top, die Dame heute beim Auschecken mega freundlich, trotz allem hinterließ die Ankunft ein Geschmäckle…

Das Hotel ist optimal für einen Besuch des Musical StarlihtExpress und auch die Innenstadt ist gut zu Fußerreichbst. Die Zimmer sind sauber und recht geräumig, die Betten sehr bequem. Etwas störend ist der Teppich, gerade für Allergiker zumal auch Tiere mit im Zimmer untergebracht werden können. Ausserdem ist die Klimaanlage an sehr heissen Tagen wenig wirksam,man kann aber, was sehr positiv ist, die Fenster vollständig öffnen. Das Frühstück bietet viel Auswahl und man kann sowohl drinnen als auch draussen auf der Terasse sitzen. Das Personal ist durchgehend freundlich und hilfsbreit. Auch wenn das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, war es alles in Allem ein schöner Aufenthalt und das Hotel mit wenigen Abstrichen weiter zu empfehlen.
