This is the most beautiful, peaceful, interesting hotel we have ever stayed in. From reading a few reviews about it being a bit dated I was a bit reluctant to go but glad we did. Our room was huge and the hotel staff( the guy on reception was lovely ) The hotel is beautiful and quirky I loved it. .The only thing was the room was so hot during the night with windows open though there was a fan provided I Just couldn't be bothered to put it on so that's more on us than the hotel.. I would definitely return Thankyou

What a lovely small cosy hotel this is. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with a excellent view of lake windermere. The grounds were amazing. Not far outside of Bowness.so can easily walk there and to the ferry if you wanted. Food was good and fresh. Breakfast had a made to order menu on hot food. So definitely fresh. With an excellent choice. Will definitely return.
