Hotel Alexander is a good place to stay, easy walk from the train station and close to shops and restaurants. Being in Old Town is convenient but also loud until the crowds go home at night. The coffee and water in the lobby are a nice addition.

Excellent location in the old town and only a short walk or tram ride from the main station. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was lovely. We travelled with a baby and the hotel made sure there was a cot and kettle in the room. Room was comfortable and plenty of storage for case and bags.

8/10 Very good

Great location, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Very close to most attractions and close to the train station. The only complaint that we had was the room was very small and with luggage there wasn’t much room to move around. I’m not much of a breakfast person but my husband enjoyed it, I ate small portions, again dining room was pretty small and it could get crowded.

I’d 100% recommend this hotel! It was clean, in a great location, and the staff were incredibly helpful.

Room was lovely and very functional if not large. Staff helpful and friendly. Perfect breakfast with hot and cold selections. Only complaint was some rooms close to alleys and blind loops where occasional groups of young drinkers party outside your window till dawn!!! Friday night I learned many “ new “ words. Saturday a little quieter thanks to the rain.I heard some other hotel guests moved to different rooms successfully. It’s holidays so sometimes it’s best to just grim and bare it. Great choice re location for a couple days in Zurich old town.

Lovely hotel and a really convenient location, right in the heart of Zurich. The staff were great, facilities excellent. The only gripe was the size of the room, it was really small and the layout was not great. We were only there for 2 nights, any longer and I think we'd have struggled with the lack of space.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. I was not sure if I had made the right choice at first. But when we arrived we were pleasantly surpriised. The staff were very welcoming, water and coffee available 24/7, clean rooms and breakfast was good. Location was excellent!

Lovely hotel in perfect location. It was an easy and scenic walk to and from train station. Lots of great food options nearby. Hôtel gave complimentary apples, water and other assorted drinks. Breakfast had a good variety of options with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, variety of bread and pastries, yogurt and juices.

Fantastic location just 5 mins from the main train station and on the same street as loads of great restaurants. Close to tram stops too. Reception staff were helpful and we were able to leave our bags as we arrived early and could also store them on the day we left. Family room was spacious and beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was varied and delicious. A great hotel to base yourself from if exploring Zurich
