Nice apartment close to Old Town

Great location, just out of Old Town so a 5 min walk to the main square. Good communication from host regarding check in, very easy to follow directions. Could do with wifi as none currently.

First the good: the property has a great location as it is steps from the Old Town. The price is also quite decent at around $340 for 4 nights. It was also relatively clean. Needs improvement: - everything is falling apart in the apartment. The freezer door in a barely functional fridge are completely detached, the sofa has seen better days and it’s very uncomfortable to sleep on. The floors and the walls are scuffed and in a terrible condition. The towels are treated with something that makes them not absorb the water. The kitchen light is non-functional. But the worst is the communication with them. No reply after 5 messages sent through Expedia over a period of 2 months. This is while they kept sending me routine messages. Eventually, I called them requesting extra bed sheets. It took 4 phone calls for someone to answer. Eva assured me the sheets would be left on the sofa. Upon arrival, the bed sheets were not there. Fortunately, the cleaning folks have a storage room inside the apartment, where after much searching through a messy wardrobe, I found extra sheets. Also, if you are a non-smoker, do expect to smell smoke coming in from the courtyard as apparently smoking is again en vogue in Poland and most people smoke on the balconies, the street and pretty much everywhere outdoors. Krakow is a lovely city to visit. Will not return to this apartment and I do not recommend it.
