A nice place to stay in Craven Arms which itself is super convenient to a lot of really nice places to hike around. Clean comfy beds with a decent bathroom and shower. Excellent cooked breakfast served by friendly staff. Ample parking available. Would visit again

Nice friendly place make you very welcome, the building and bar are a little in need of a little modernisation but the rooms are very good.

We had a very comfortable one night stsy at the’Stokesay Inn’. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. We had an evening meal there and it was delicious! Also, breakfast was excellent and well worth what we paid. We would recommend it for an overnight stay as it is close to Ludlow, which is what we wanted. 😀

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room and ensuite were clean and contained everything required (tea, coffee, toiletries, towels). The lounge bar area was pleasant and had a friendly feel. The property is aging, but suitably priced.

10/10 Exceptional

The twin room i booked was clean and presentable and fitted our needs perfectly. Breakfast in the morning was good and there was a menu to choose from so you choose your own variation of breakfast. Staff were helpful, friendly and polite, overall, even though we only stayed one night, as we were attending a family wedding nearby, i would have no hesitation on staying here again.

4/10 Fair

Staff were fine and so was the food but the room left a lot to be desired. The bathroom door did not close properly, the light in the bathroom was very dim. The macerator made a very loud noise and the lino was coming away from the floor. There were screws missing from the bed frame and the whole room could have done with a deep clean and some maintenance

If you want luxury go elsewhere BUT if you are happy with basic bed and board this was ok. It is above a pub so be mindful of that if you want early quiet nights. The room was clean and sufficient. The shower was good, but dated but it worked well. There is parking.

Staff were very welcoming, room was clean and well kept, with tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries. They catered for my needs as a vegetarian - the food served in the pub is excellent and the Guinness is well kept! The staff fitted breakfast requirements around my need to catch particular trains. Would definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable stay with everything you need for a few days. Staff were lovely, very welcoming and went the extra mile to look after me.

8/10 Very good

Our stay was a one night Bed and Evening meal. We were unable to stay for breakfast {included in the accommodation price) as we needed to be away even earlier then the rasonable start time of 8 a.m. The Evening Meal menu was slightly restricted in range, but none the worse for that! Staff were pleasant and heipful. The Stokesay Inn is a large old building. No doubts about the cleanliness. Although the decor is a bit 'tired', the large airy bar / restaurant area has a strange quirky attractiveness!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, location is really good near the visitor centre. Sunday lunch was very enjoyable, out in the beer garden. It is not the Ritz, obviously, but for the price I paid, totally fine. Excellent shower and great to find a single room available. Unfortunately the mattress was not good.
