The Good: The price is the main draw. Morning staff and management were efficient. Staff did a good job cleaning and mopping common floors, and the pool was clean. Nearby amenities are excellent: a Carl's Jr. and a highly recommended, clean coin-less laundromat. Suitable for a solo guest on a tight budget.
👎 The Bad/Safety Concerns: My first room smelled strongly of urine (I was moved immediately). Security is an issue: I was startled by a person living in the dumpster area, and homeless individuals often sleep on the stairs. I encountered prostitutes (a firm "no" was enough). One staff member (long-haired male) was very unpleasant.
⚠️ Maintenance & Other Notes: The key cards consistently deactivate. The single working elevator is unreliable/finicky, and people have been stuck—use the stairs, as the phone doesn't work. Watch your step: guest laziness means dog waste is common in the walkways. Proximity to a dispensary means a frequent, strong smell of marijuana.
