We had a great stay at Smartr. Perfect location on the Gaia side of the river. Easy to find public transport and just a couple of minutes from the riverfront. Large room and the kitchenette came in handy for breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

Great location but was quite stressful on arrival as there’s no manned reception & everything is via what’s app, for some 1 like me I’m more old school & prefer over the phone conversation rather than messaging .. there was issues with the safe & after very frustrating conversations as no one understood English properly we were eventually left the keys as we had to take all personal belongings with us for the day & had awful start to our holiday .. at checking out we were only offered an extra hour late check out nowhere to leave our luggage’s so had to take them to a family member hotel where they kept our stuff for us instead as we had late flight … not to self only book if you have no valuables & just need somewhere local to get your head down! Nit the best breakfast facilities either!!!!

Very comfortable clean room in a great location, check in process was easy and no need to carry keys round with you. Sandra the host was lovely and responded to queries promptly. We paid for breakfast on the last day and it was great. The pool is very small on the roof and our planned pool day was scuppered by a poor weather day! The only thing that could be improved is wifi as it didn’t work in our room, fortunately we had working data.

Location is excellent, 2 minutes and you are at the Riverside. Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable bed. Self check in & codes sent to access the property (There are 2 lifts, so make sure you take the right one) Safe in the room but i could not open it and got no response to my query which is why i gave 4 stars not 5. I would recommend & stay again as its great for a short city break.

Clean room.....huge bathroom....vasic kitchen but enough to cook with should you wish...we didnt. Cafes further down the road towards the river. Mainly locals cafes but lovely atmosphere. Ideally situated for walking and lovely restaurants and trips. No conierge, its all automated.

1. Perfect location; 2. Very clean and modern place; 3. Breakfast is always a great bonus👍 4. Excellent communication (quick responses); 5. Very high quality and comfortable mattresses (important after long walks). 6. The funicular to get to the main bridge is a leisurely 10-minute walk away. If (or when) I return to Porto, I will definitely consider this place. Traveled with my family (adults and children). One thing: if you are driving, keep in mind that the nearest parking lots only accept cash.

Vi boede i en studilejlighed med en lille altan. Lejligheden var flot, ren og stor. Og placeringen perfekt! Hotellet er uden personale. Indtjekning var online og adgang med en kode. Dette fungerede godt. Hotellet har en meget lille tagterrasse med en endnu mindre og meget kold pool. Udsigten er dog skøn, men der er forlist plads ifht. gæster. Man kunne kontakte via What’s App, hvilket vi gjorde for at spørge ind til morgenmad, svarene var upræcise. Toilettet gik i stykker under vores ophold og da vi kontaktede dem, kunne de ikke kigge på det samme dag, da der ikke va ringet personale tilstede. Heldigvis var der to toiletter i lejligheden.
