The resort was as described unfortunately the hot tub we were really looking forward to was not in service. We could not find the rec area with the microwave. We also would’ve liked more comfortable chairs to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Room was clean had a mini fridge and was very prepared with toiletries.

We arrived and the office had our envelope with all our information. Check in was smooth. Bathrooms and the cabin was clean. Clean blankets and towels. The other visitors were kind. The scenery was beautiful. Overall this resort was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay! The Hideaway Cabin was cozy and a perfect size for 4--I had considered the smaller cabin but we needed our own bathroom, and more of a kitchen (we just brought our own cooking oil, spices, food, foil and ziplock bags). The cabin was cozy and had a great view...especially early mornings and at night for star-gazing! The main store and patio were perfect for our first night, where we ordered pizza (delicious!), played games, and made smores. The pool was nice but unfortunately the hot tub was off limits (we were not aware prior to arrival). We enjoyed a morning hike, until we got lost after the first overlook, and took a while to get back on track--kinda scary with no phone reception or signs to direct us. Everyone on the premises was friendly and helpful. And we loved how close to Kerrville we were, for nearby shopping, restaurants, and groceries. We hope to return soon!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Texas Hill Country Resort was amazing! We traveled from Minnesota and decided we wanted a unique experience with views, tranquility, nature while we toured San Antonio and Kerrville…and it provided all of that. The cabin was very clean, AC worked great, beds were comfortable, etc. We even arrived after dark and the staff took the extra effort to meet us and help us find our cabin. Wish we could have stayed longer.

it’s more like staying at a fancy cabin at a park than it is staying at a resort, but if you come to hike and enjoy peace and quiet, you’ll love it just like we did. The only problem we had was there was no staff available, and we had no signal to call anybody, but once we figured out how to make the Wi-Fi work, it was fine.. just be aware, if you’re expecting fine dining and a spa day, you will be disappointed. This is rustic, out in the country, and you’re pretty much on your own.
