New and Clean, but Awful Stay

Short and sweet, a hotel with a lot of noise and clogged toilets is a terrible stay. The room toilet never flushed and the common toilets were clogged at all.

PROS: The rooms are brand new, so very clean. Staff is friendly and wants to help. CONS: (1) There is zero mention anywhere that housekeeping only comes every other day so if you stay 2 nights, you will never see housekeeping (after learning this, I asked for more towels and coffee - they were acknowledged, but never arrived - had to make a second trip to the front desk to retrieve them myself). (2) Parking is billed at $4.99 a night + $.30 tax and I had to hunt around on the website to finally find this info since it came as a surprise at check-in. (3) HVAC system is 6 feet from your head while sleeping so expect to choose a hot room or white noise all night. NOTES TO MANAGEMENT: Would be better if you just added $5.50 to my total bill rather than giving the illusion of being nickel and dimed with parking fees. Communication is key to a great relationship - place an obvious note in the room about your cleaning schedule because if I knew in advance about this, it wouldn't bother me.

This hotel is amazing. Pros- Looks great, rooms are amazing! Full size fridge, full size freezer, microwave wave, 2 burner stove, dishes, pots and pans, silverware. Large flatscreen TV. Big walk in shower. Good water pressure, towels are good size, bed is comfortable and air conditioning works great. Cons- Pillows are not the best. (I had to use 3 to be comfortable) That is really the only con. We got there early so no room was available, but they still allowed me park our truck there. They made sure to call when a room was available. They made sure we were on the same floor as our family was on. My family had an issue with the AC in their room right away they moved them to another room and also upgraded their room. This the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel and we will e staying here each time we are in San Antonio.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a lot more than we expected. Had a kitchen with 2 burner stove, dishwasher full refrigerator and dishes, silverware and pot and pans included. Huge shower and large screen TV. The only 2 cons the pillow needs to be replaced and the shower door would not stay closed.
