10/10 Exceptional

Location was excellent. Close to Central Line underground. Shared kitchen was beautiful, fully stocked and clean. Shared bathroom was also gorgeous. We had the triple room and it was perfect for the two of us. Only issue was getting in the building, initially, as we struggled to open the front door, but this was quickly sorted and we enjoyed our stay. There were other people in the house but we didn't really see them. Would definitely go back for the price!

Clean room, felt safe and very convenient location. Stayed for 1 night and perfect for the price, if you just need somewhere to sleep.

4/10 Fair

Not worth it - I found blood stains in the bed and was only offered an apology. Nothing was done to rectify the situation for me other than for me to change the bed sheets myself. The stairs are difficult to climb with luggage etc. Not very sound proof so there is lots of noise heard within the property and from the street. It’s in a central location very close to the tube and places to get food.

8/10 Very good

Wasn’t aware it was a house share rather than a hotel room. Room was clean and tidy but tired in places. Kettle in room but no cups. Easy to find, great location. Customer service contacted me with access details on the day and confirmed things. Would stay again now I’m aware of the set up. Wouldn’t have tried this initially had I of know the set up and can see other customers have been caught out the same but none the less even as a house where in a clean tidy property, lockable room door and good facilities this is still good value.

The room was decorated nicely and bed was comfortable however there was no toilet roll at all, no shower gel, just didn't involve any amenities and I can't believe toilet roll and tissues weren't included! The stay was alright, we didn't hate it but probably wouldn't go back

10/10 Exceptional

I stayed in a compact room in a town house which had other rooms available. In my room there was a comfortable single bed, towels, a TV and kettle, and on the same floor was a nicely furnished, shared shower room. The room was perfect for my needs (just needed a bed for the night) and quite close to the West End with a handful of shops nearby. The owner introduced themselves via WhatsApp and shared the access code at check in time (4pm); I didn't need any further help but they seemed very approachable.

Decent Experience

Decent location, nice clean rooms and kitchen, however was not told beforehand that it was a shared bathroom and struggled to get a reply over message. Was told multiple times that I would be sent a check in code and had to call them 3 times to finally get it. Very nice inside but just beware that it does feel like you're staying in someone's house.

Comfortable, clean and good location

Location is great, few mins walk from Chancery Lane Station. Accommodation is great, feels fresh, comfortable, good size and a good price. My only issue is needs better clarity on booking process. Once paid you need to provide deposit and ID through an email link, however its not clear about check-in instructions. This comes through the day of check-in around midday separately.

Not a quiet stay

I was left feeling a bit disappointed with the stay. The decor and cleanliness of the apartment was to a good standard, but there is absolutely no escape from the noise within in the building which meant I had 2 poor nights sleep.

The stay was okay

The stay was correct. Its self check in, you will not meet someone, but you can call them until late afternoon and they will be very helpful to get you checked in. However if you arrive late at Night they Will be no assistance, that might be inconvenient. Everything is really clean, you have all equipments for the kitchen and bathroom. However in the room there is a tv impossible to unplung and which makes little noises all the time. The room is okay and satisfying for a short stay.

Good central location and clean/modern rooms, However it is very hard to find the property as it’s actually a houseshare and the check in procedure isn’t explained when you book the room. Huge deposit taken as well (also not made clear upon booking) that I’m still trying to recover.

The location was just perfect, very accessible via public transport. We received access pin into our email address so there was no confusion and delays. However there were no cups in the room (two that were filled with sugar and milk sachets) only one set of cutlery. There were occasions that there were no shampoo available. There was no coffee but plenty of tea bags in the house.

The price for london is good, location was good and nothing specific went wrong. but the room was incredibly small with no place to hang clothes. The mirror was not mounted on the wall and the tv did not function. The toilet is shared by two rooms which was not a horrible problem except the obvious inconvenience. There is a downstairs kitchen facility if needed (coffee machine did not function). While convenient for those hopong to eat in, it also means someone can cook a very aromatic meal and make the entire building smell poorly. In sum, not appropriate for except for short stays on a very low budget.

One-night stay, ruined by noise

Cute little guest house, very convenient location. Clean and well kept. In my opinion, the coloured fairy lights, the fake flowers and the stuffed toys are completely unnecessary, but taste is individual. I’d have preferred a bedside lamp instead. I booked for one night, Saturday to Sunday. At 7am, the smoke alarm started beeping with that change-the-battery warning. It’s hard to describe how frustrating and annoying that is, when you’ve set your alarm for 10am, because you need a lie-in more than anything. But good to know there are smoke alarms. If you book, please note that the house is right opposite a church, so you’ll have the ringing bells. Also know that this is not a purpose built hotel, but someone’s town house that is essentially an Airbnb. You can hear everything going on in the next room, and I mean everything. Bring earplugs if you want good sleep.

Acceptable, but probably won't book again

Pros: location, had the basics requirements needed, bed was quite comfy, fairly inexpensive Cons: not clear from listing that it's a shared accomodation, which I would not have picked as a solo female traveller. Bedroom doors lock but still not ideal setup. Lacking basics that a true hotel would have like toiletries though I brought my own. There was a kettle and tea and sugar, but no cup or coffee or milk in room (?) Cleanliness wasn't the best, but it was acceptable. Shower sprayed water everywhere - be prepared to mop up the floor with a towel! Would have been very small space for the 4 people expected to fit in the room! Fine for 1-2 people. Was a bit taken aback at having to send my ID and £300 deposit in advance (maybe not ideal if you don't want that money unavailable to you?) but it was promptly released from card by the day after stay. Comms werent great - they initially asked me to pay for the room after I'd already paid hotels.com, and later on asked for my ID after I'd already submitted. Also didn't get check in instructions until 2pm on day of arrival - check in isn't until 4pm but if you like to have all your info in advance it's not ideal. First day in new job and I didn't even know if I was going to be able to check in! Overall I will probably book something else for my work trips going forward as I'd rather pay more and have less cons, but might consider booking this again if I really wanted the location.

2/10 Poor

Don’t be conned as I was. This is not an hotel. At best it is akin to student digs with plastic flooring (wipe clean finish) steep and winding stairs and tiny rooms. There no reception, no people, nor bar or restaurant; nothing. It’s no more than a DIY flop-house. If I was able to give less than 1 star, I would. Expensive con.

This is not a hotel!! Also be aware they want 100 pound deposit off you, this is just someone's house converted into a 'hotel' I am almost certain, they're supposed to clearly state, it has a shared bathroom, not this place! Its easy to get locked out of this place and your room if not careful, maybe this is why someone was banging on the door all day downstairs when I was trying to sleep.

Yes, all was very good, but the coffee machine in the kitchen did not work properly. Had to press the on button as coffee was being prepared, and only milk came out, and no coffee..

Very clean, great décor, beautiful bathroom and kitchen. It's a shared bathroom, which is not stated. If it was private, then 5 stars. As others have mentioned the noise travel is excessive within the property, but I guess they didn't anticipate that when they converted it, and can't do anything about it, although it's not helped by the hard marble and tiles throughout. Pod coffee machine in the shared kitchen, great to be able to use a fridge. Access was easy in and out and it wasn't hard to find the property with the full address. Easily walkable from Chancery Lane tube.
