What a wonderful place! We stayed in the older, original building and though it is called a hotel it felt more like a charming inn. Much thought and care has been put into the property. Room had an updated bath and was most comfortable. Lots of lovely furnishings and decorations throughout. Excellent and most friendly staff. They were readily available and answered all of our questions. They even had breakfast ready for us earlier than their normal time on our last day so that we could have something to eat before having to leave for the airport. Easy walk to Alcobaca center and monastery.

Everything was great!

We had a lovely room, decorated with personal touches, and the largest bathroom we have ever seen in the more modern building. Parking was safe & onsite. Breakfast was served in the Challet in a very elegant room, very classy and had anything you could want, including fresh squeezed juice. The gated grounds are lovely. Staff were all friendly and very helpful.

A beautiful hotel with gardens and a spa. We picked this hotel because we were bicycling through Portugal and we could get massages after a day of riding. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Maria is friendly and very responsive to messages. The breakfast was delicious with pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals. Also numerous restaurants within walking distance and a great pizza place with outdoor seating across from the monastery. I would stay here again.
