Bowood is absolutely stunning. This is probably the 5th or 6th time we have stayed here and every time the service is outstanding. The staff can't do enough for you and it was a real treat to be recognised for a return stay with a bottle of prosecco in our room. The pool area is lovely - very quiet with no issue getting a lounger and the view across the golf course and woods is dreamy! The walks around the estate are stunning with the added bonus of being able to visit the house and gardens. Another wonderful stay!

We stayed in the tower suite which was overall lovely room. For that price, I would appreciate if the amenities are a bit nicer. The quality of the shamoo/conditioner was not very good in my opinion. I found the pillows were useless, too airly and too soft, feels like no substance in them. My neck was in terrible pain when I woke up. The pool was nice but I think it would be good to have a booking system. At some point, too many people came and there were not enough room for everyone. The restaurant was good. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. I liked the fresh flowers displayed there. We didn't interact many staff there, but the lady checked in and out could be more friendly and welcoming though. It was our first time anywhere hotels we stayed at, we were not asked how was your stay? kind of stuff at the check out. I was prepared to give a little feedback of the room, but didn't have chance.

Our first visit and a really wonderful overnight stay for our Anniversary. From the moment we arrived we just knew this was going to be a great experience and nothing disappointed. The room was lovely, very clean and with good amenities. The spa pool and facilities are great, the restaurant excellent and the complimentary access to Bowood House and Gardens much appreciated and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit after check out. The staff are what really sets this hotel apart, every interaction from the simple to the complex somehow seems to exceed your expectations. Everyone was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and seemed proud to work at Bowood. The whole atmosphere at Bowood is something that must have been very hard to create and must take significant effort to foster. We felt like we’d be coming here for years after only a few hours, and we can’t wait to come back.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast waitress particularly so. Pool/spa/gym area is smaller than expected and looking tired. Evening meal was disappointing and quality did not match the prices. A strawberry parfait with one small strawberry cut into four alongside a cube of ice cream for £10? Steak was quite small and bland. Peppercorn sauce was very thin/watery. Breakfast was great though.
