An ideal base for our short but sweet stay in Lyon. Close to public transport straight into the centre, lots of restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. Fantastic reception staff happy to help with local recommendations and sightseeing highlights. Comfy and immaculate room, and a lovely breakfast to send us off for an early train.

Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was no safety deposit box in the room and they did not provide hand towels. But this was fixed by asking for an extra towel at the front desk which we used for the duration of our stay. There was also only one pillow per person.

The room was clean, but housekeeping checks weren’t done. The room was missing a glass and coffee pods and the soap dispenser in the shower didn’t have the plastic straw, so one pumps and nothing dispenses. The front desk manager this morning- a lady- was lovely and kind; whoever was on duty last night when we arrived at 19h was the opposite, scoffing at my credit card when I handed it to him- the stereotypical French response, unfortunately.

Mon séjour à malheureusement été perturbé par le manque de respect de certains voyageurs, particulièrement bruyants en pleine nuit, vers 1 h 30, ainsi que tôt le matin. La mauvaise isolation phonique du bâtiment amplifie clairement le problème et nuit à la qualité du repos. Je regrette également que l’on annonce à mon arrivée que je suis surclassée, mais la chambre qui m’a été attribuée ne m’a absolument pas donné cette impression et ne semblait pas correspondre à un réel surclassement. Une amélioration de l’isolation phonique et de la propreté seraient vraiment souhaitables.
