What a gem! The staff were so communicative and friendly, they accommodated my sudden accessibility needs (I broke my foot two days prior) with such kindness, and the breakfast was a good spread (pastries, cereals, cakes, coffee made to order)! The building is beautiful and on a quiet street but still walkable to restaurants and train station. We were able to order sprtizes on arrival which was also lovely! The staff helped us with a last-minute dinner reservation as well which was wonderful.

This is my favorite hotel in Lucca. The staff are very nice and the breakfast (you can add it to your stay), is excellent. They’ll make you a cappuccino! The location is lovely because it’s quiet yet so close to restaurants, Piazza San Michele and the wall (for walking). Absolutely adore this hotel.

Really loved this hotel. It seems unfair that places like this only get 2 stars due to amenities etc - the character and what's on offer should count for a lot more. Staff were so helpful - even going with my husband to park the car in the local cathedral car park. We were unable to check in as arrived early but I was able to sit in a small seated area in reception doing a bit of work - there was orange juice, water and snacks freely available - it was lovely. Large room with plenty of space and storage, comfortable big bed and it was nice and cool even without the aircon on. Hotel felt full of character - really enjoyed our stay there.

Very kind and attentive staff at front desk and the breakfast. Breakfast was continental style, with many options. Showers are small, but that seems to be the norm in some hotels in Italy

One of the Best hotels in Lucca!

The Hotel Diana, is a clean, no thrills but lovely hotel. The staff are so accommodating and helpful! I often stay here as it's right next to the Duomo San Martino and so close to everything. the rooms are quite quirky with various colours which adds to the experience.

This was my 3rd stay at Hotel Diana. I love it so much. The location is quieter than the more touristy areas and yet so close to everything you need. Cafes, restaurants, a self-serve laundromat, and landmarks are just minutes away. The staff are so nice. Fabrizio even remembered me from last year when I was on another Camino. What a treat to be remembered!! The breakfast which you can include for a modest fee, is worth it. I absolutely love the location and my room is always comfortable. It’s very clean and I appreciate the mid-day tidy of my room. Just around the corner, you can find opera on certain nights of the week. It really is convenient. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the train station and super easy to find. I can’t say enough lovely things about Hotel Diana.

Highly recommend this hotel! A sweet small boutique hotel on a quiet street. Staff was so welcoming! Fabrizio was kind to listen to me struggle through my little bit of Italian I know. We stayed in the Hotel Diana annex (Rm #40) and it was VERY nice. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. You can't ask for more.

This is a very nice property in an excellent location, close to the train station. Our room was a 2 room suite which also had a twin hide-a-bed hassett. The €10 breakfast was a bargain. I have certainly stayed in my fair share of hotels, this is a first class hotel.
