Location on the edge of the sea was beautiful - with sunloungers available and access for swimming directly in the sea. It was a little bit further out of Hvar Town than we would have liked but it was walkable (just very hot in July) and the taxi to town was Euro20. Breakfast was lovely - especially if you get down early enough to get one of the few outdoor tables with a sea view. Comfort rooms were quite small but well maintained.

Wonderful spot in a beautiful bay. Sea view was well worth it. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. Just a couple of tweaks could have made it even better -pool towels was a complicated process going up and down steps, robes would have been nice so the sauna was more useable without having to get dressed again, bathrooms need a bit of an upgrade

This property is about 7 mins drive from Hvar city right on the beach. It is nice because you are close enough to the city but are in a quiet area from all the tourist noise. Most rooms have some ocean view. It has its own exclusive beach access. The breakfast was decent. We really enjoyed the view and swimming in the beach

The hotel is beautiful and we loved the location - out of town, not walking distance, $20 cab ride each way, very beautiful and peaceful to lie in chairs on the beach. Hotel policies (eg towel management) were extremely rigid and awkward, feels like a fancy establishment shouldn't be counting my towels like a kindergartener. Restaurant is good but extremely expensive.

Our stay at Podstine Hotel was very disappointing. Aside from having a beautiful view next to the beach/water and it being quieter and away from Hvar Town crowds, there is easy parking on site, and the hotel staff is nice; this hotel is extremely outdated. The lobby is nice only because of the view’s wow factor, but aside from that, this hotel is old. You still need to use keys to lock your room door from both outside and inside which is indicative of how old it is. The room decor is very old and the bathroom is old, like from the 1990’s and doesn’t feel that clean. We’re surprised this hotel is considered a 4-star hotel. The breakfast wasn’t good, it was like an airport continental breakfast. The hot water also doesnt last long while showering. I’m not sure if we’d stay again unless it upgraded it’s facilities or this were our only option.

We stayed three nights at Podstine, and the outdoor area is amazing. Plenty of space to relax near the coast and jumping straight into the sea way really nice. Breakfast was good and the restaurant (lunch/dinner) is recommendable too. Hvar city center is around 20 min. away (walking), and walking along the coastline, especially in the evening was really beautiful. When booking Podstine, the outdoor facilities were the main reason and worth the four stars for sure. Rooms in the main building was sold out, so we booked a room in the annex. The annex building is not worth four stars though and I will not recomment booking a room there. Rooms were quite old and not very charming. Also, when other guests had a shower, it way very noisy, maybe because of the waterpump or something. We would book Podstine again, but not if the rooms in the annex were the only possibility.

The room was gorgeous. We got a 3rd floor room where the view was Not obstructed by trees. That was a great choice. The staff were friendly. The free breakfast was a solid start to the day. I loved the fresh honey combs on GF bread. The restaurant was not great. It was overpriced, never busy, and the octopus was chewy. We got the best table with a great sunset view at peak dinner time which was lovely. It’s a bit of a trek to the port but walk the promenade not where Google Maps tells you to go. The beach at this hotel is amazing. We spent a day lounging and swimming. Boats pick you up right there for excursions. There’s a market 5 minutes away with everything you’ll need to eat or drink. We had the beach to ourselves two nights. We watched the amazing sunset with a bottle of wine then the moon and stars. So Peaceful!! Overall this is a fabulous place to stay, I hope they can up the dinner game a bit.
