Dated and expensive for what it is. The terraced sun bathing area into the sea is lovely and is a saving grace but the rooms, breakfast area and some communal areas need updating. Its posing as a boutique hotel but seems like an old all inclusive which is trying to be something it’s not because the money required to bring it up to scratch simply hasn’t been spent. Prices should reflect this and then we’d have been much happier with the stay but wouldn’t return or recommend at the price we paid for the hotel as it is presently. Disappointing.

Our stay at Podstine Hotel was very disappointing. Aside from having a beautiful view next to the beach/water and it being quieter and away from Hvar Town crowds, there is easy parking on site, and the hotel staff is nice; this hotel is extremely outdated. The lobby is nice only because of the view’s wow factor, but aside from that, this hotel is old. You still need to use keys to lock your room door from both outside and inside which is indicative of how old it is. The room decor is very old and the bathroom is old, like from the 1990’s and doesn’t feel that clean. We’re surprised this hotel is considered a 4-star hotel. The breakfast wasn’t good, it was like an airport continental breakfast. The hot water also doesnt last long while showering. I’m not sure if we’d stay again unless it upgraded it’s facilities or this were our only option.

Location on the edge of the sea was beautiful - with sunloungers available and access for swimming directly in the sea. It was a little bit further out of Hvar Town than we would have liked but it was walkable (just very hot in July) and the taxi to town was Euro20. Breakfast was lovely - especially if you get down early enough to get one of the few outdoor tables with a sea view. Comfort rooms were quite small but well maintained.

We stayed three nights at Podstine, and the outdoor area is amazing. Plenty of space to relax near the coast and jumping straight into the sea way really nice. Breakfast was good and the restaurant (lunch/dinner) is recommendable too. Hvar city center is around 20 min. away (walking), and walking along the coastline, especially in the evening was really beautiful. When booking Podstine, the outdoor facilities were the main reason and worth the four stars for sure. Rooms in the main building was sold out, so we booked a room in the annex. The annex building is not worth four stars though and I will not recomment booking a room there. Rooms were quite old and not very charming. Also, when other guests had a shower, it way very noisy, maybe because of the waterpump or something. We would book Podstine again, but not if the rooms in the annex were the only possibility.

Room was a great size as was the bathroom with a really nice walk in shower. Balcony had a fantastic view of the gardens and the sea. The staff were all very friendly and super helpful. Breakfast had a great selection and the view over the ocean was lovely. Spa and pool were excellent and the access to the sea was easy. Excellent location, easy access to hvar town along a smooth flat seafront walkway. Plenty of parking. Overall a fantastic hotel with great staff, look forward to coming back

Beach was beautiful. Limited shaded area. Pool water was murky, so we did not use it. Staff refused to check us in before 3pm official check in time. Hotel needs so sprucing up. A 4 star hotel with a flimsy shower head and musty carpets in the hallways of the annex building is not ok. Also, if you’re eating on site, prepare to get gauged.. prices are exorbitant.

The Podstine Hotel is in a beautiful setting with its own private swimming spot and pool. It’s a bit out of the way but worth it for the setting. The breakfast was very good as well as the drinks and lunch that you can eat from your sun bed. The room that we had was rather small and very dark with minimal natural light. We didn’t spend much time in the room so it wasn’t that big of a deal. I did have an amazing massage at their spa.

The room was gorgeous. We got a 3rd floor room where the view was Not obstructed by trees. That was a great choice. The staff were friendly. The free breakfast was a solid start to the day. I loved the fresh honey combs on GF bread. The restaurant was not great. It was overpriced, never busy, and the octopus was chewy. We got the best table with a great sunset view at peak dinner time which was lovely. It’s a bit of a trek to the port but walk the promenade not where Google Maps tells you to go. The beach at this hotel is amazing. We spent a day lounging and swimming. Boats pick you up right there for excursions. There’s a market 5 minutes away with everything you’ll need to eat or drink. We had the beach to ourselves two nights. We watched the amazing sunset with a bottle of wine then the moon and stars. So Peaceful!! Overall this is a fabulous place to stay, I hope they can up the dinner game a bit.

Lovely location about a 20 minute gentle stroll to centre of Hvar Room lovely with good air conditioning and nice shower. Shame they never replaced fresh drinking water in the 5 day stay preferring you to pay a lot of money for their bottled water despite telling us the water in all of Croatia is so safe and delicious. Sunbeds never an issue to get and no reserving which was refreshing to see. Beachside drinks service a bit hit and miss Take beach shoes as the rocks are slippy underfoot but the sea so clean and wonderful Would do well to add a beach snack menu which I’m sure would go down well during the day Would definitely visit again
