Old fashioned character hotel with grand staircase and remote location.

8/10 Very good

Very cosy hotel. Wee bit dated although the bedroom was really nice and spacious. Meal was nice. Table very sticky which meant the cutlery and menus were actually stuck to it. Needs new tables. Breakfast was very good. We were attending a wedding so could have done with a full length mirror in the room. There’s plenty space for one. Very comfortable bed. Staff were great. Would have no qualms about staying here again. Thank you

We had a lovely stay with our dog. The rooms was spacious , clean and lovely and quiet. The staff were excellent, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious too. Highly recommend this hotel, we only stayed for one night but would definitely come back and stay for longer.

8/10 Very good

The hotel has a comfortable “old fashioned” ambiance which we enjoyed, and is in a lovely rural setting. It would be nice if tea or coffee could be served at the tables for breakfast to cut down on the too and froing.

Staff were friendly but certain amentities were unclean such as our kettle in room.also the hot water jug in the breakfast dining room poured out dirt into my cup Another downside was we were told prior to stay that they had a gluten free menu, however when we arrived there was very little options for me. I dont blame the staff taking the order but it was just a bit embarassing as she had to go chat to the kitchen staff about me. But she was very friendly, i just wish reception had been more open about gluten free
