A beautiful, peaceful retreat in Nouakchott! I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel La Medina. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the hotel’s quiet location felt safe and peaceful. Everything is beautifully decorated, with an indoor garden reminiscent of a traditional Moroccan riad, a lovely touch that makes the hotel feel special. The rooms are spacious, and the complimentary breakfast is another welcome bonus. What stood out most was the combination of warm hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend La Medina to anyone visiting Nouakchott!

This is the best hotel that I’ve experienced in Nouakchott. If you like a small, cozy hotel and would like to avoid a mega sized hotel, this is the go to hotel. Yet, though it applies to other hotels in Nouakchott, a credit card machine didn’t work. So be prepared to pay for it in cash or a bank transfer.
