Beautiful location, felt like a local. Room was big with a large comfy bed. Had everything we needed and was cleaned and restocked daily. There was a portable aircon (which i know aircons aren't guarenteed in older buildings) it was super loud and needed the window open to run. Blinds also let in lots of light. Great stay though

Outstanding Accommodations in Amsterdam

Commune Suites is located on a quiet street and in a great location. We could easily walk to museums, Anne Frank house and other tourist attractions. Alex, the proprietor, was very friendly and accommodating. I heartily recommend Commune Suites or someone looking for an AirB&B like experience.

Perfect place, perfect location! This is a very modern hotel in an older building. The only way you can tell its old is the very steep steps leading up to the rooms! My knee was a little problematic on getting down the steps but it worked! The shawer is amazing! Breakfast was very good (extra) but worth it! Thank you Alex!

Alex, the manager of the property, is wonderful--he had great recommendations and was very friendly and communicative. The room was gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. This is a classic brick multi-storey building in a fantastic area of Amsterdam. Check in was super simple, and our room got cleaned daily. The bed was great, the windows opened to allow plenty of fresh air. Everything is within easy walking distance, and there are restaurants on every corner. We hope to stay here again next year. If you cannot do stairs, this may not be the best place for you.

This was a quaint boarding house in a very quiet neighborhood in Amsterdam. The owner, Melissa welcomed us and was quite nice. Suites were spacious. The only drawback was the especially steep steps we were not prepared for because we had so much luggage. I would suggest this accommodation for light packers and for those in vacation for a few days not a couple weeks.

Great location and quiet. 2nd floor room was actually on the third floor, very steep staircase from the 2nd to 3rd floor, difficult to carry up 40 lb suitcases with no help. would not recommend unless you have very little luggage, picture shown is not the room we occupied This is a rented room from the owner, off the kitchen/eating area for those who take the B&B package ( we didnt)

The room was big. However the portable ac unit was broken. It made the room unbearably hot. Had to leave a window open and push the filter outside. No water or any immunities whatsoever. Wouldn’t recommend.
