Golden Tulip Muscat is situated very near two very nice malls and easy access to the highways. The onsite restaurant provides very good meals for reasonable prices. I didn’t have the breakfast, but it looked very good with plenty of options. We really enjoyed the rooftop pool and seating area with wonderful views of the ocean and surrounding city. The hum of the highway was somehow very soothing. Overall, we would recommend staying at the Golden Tulip Muscat.

Stayed at Golden Tulip Muscat for two nights and honestly it was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. The room was not clean and had a strong humid/musty smell. Ventilation was poor and the carpet was dirty. The TV was completely dead, the locker was not working, the iron was in bad condition, bathroom door stopper was broken, and even the kettle was not properly cleaned. Room service was also poor. I had to ask twice just for water and slippers. I also tried to access the rooftop swimming pool, but the security guard asked for OMR 10 because there was a party. I don’t understand why a hotel guest should pay extra to access the swimming pool. The only positive was the smooth check-in/check-out and the Omani gentleman at reception, who was very helpful. Overall, not the experience I expected from a 4-star hotel in Muscat. They really need to improve cleanliness, maintenance and service.

Great hotel, convenient located in front of two malls and easy access to main Muscat attractions. Room was comfortable and clean, they gave us a free bottle of water every day. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of options, both Arabian and western dishes. I love the egg station and their coffee was also very tasty. Rooftop view is nice and there is a bar and pool. There is plenty of free parking available.
