OK Hotel for a Short Stay

It was an OK hotel for a short stay. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. I would have liked a coffee machine in the room because coffee wasn't available 24/7 in the lobby. The biggest downside was that the shuttle to the airport only runs every 30 minutes, it costs NOK 80 per trip and it was SUPER crowded.

Comfortable hotel on the other side of runway

Comfort Hotel Runway is about 4.5 km from Oslo Airport Terminal, a 80 NKR ($8) bus ride each way with a bus that leaves every half hour. The hotel is comfortable and modern, rooms were good size. The prize was excellent, but just make sure to price in the extra charge for bus when choosing your hotel. For two people it’s 320NKR ($32).

The hotel is an airport hotel, and of good quality. One grievance (not specific to the hotel, since they are all clustered together on the opposite side of the airstrip): It says that airport shuttle is offered, but it actually costs as much as a regular train ticket to downtown Oslo. I have travelled extensively in over 80 countries, and this is a first for being charged for the airport hotel shuttle. It’s due to the Vy monopoly, I am guessing

Check in was efficient and quick. The breakfast had plenty of options, including options for gluten and lactose intolerance. Lactose free yogurt would have been a good addition. My room had food crumbs and a clump of hair; better cleaning is needed. The bathroom door may have been damaged from banging against the room door. That needs to be addressed. The bed was comfortable and light blocking drapes worked well. The shuttle bus is 80NOK each way and ran every 30 min. However,there was a public bus at the end of the street that was likely to be less expensive.
