It’s a lovely old building but does need some TLC. The staff were great and the room comfortable but did need a vacuum. Floorboards are squeaky as you’d expect in an older building and parking spaces are not guaranteed so be prepared to pay to park. It’s a quaint property in a good location with a few places to eat nearby.

The room was quite small for two people, but we managed as it was only for two nights. There was only one time we saw the staff as we were checking in - after that, I don't recall seeing anyone to either welcome us back after being out or for checking us out upon departure. The parking is very hit and miss and needs to be improved. There are signs in existence which state that the spaces are for the use of hotel guests only, however these seem to have been ignored by local parking in these spaces and on double-yellow lines opposite. There needs to be enforecement of the regulations or lockable posts only accessible to hotel guests to maintain some sort of order. The windows were covered with some temporary-looking block-outs which made the room look dark and dingey. There was no toilet roll holder in the bathroom which one would have expected. The show pressure and heat however was very good.

- Not enough parking, was told to park illegally and given a peice of paper saying manor hotel guest for the window - loud constant noise only hearable in room - no hot water for shower - no plug in bath - mould on ceiling in bathroom - stains on bedding - broken tap housing - several bulbs broken - found an empty water bottle under bed - no disabled access It's a nice area, and you could tell about 30 years ago the hotel would have been posh. But it's not been maintained at all. The area is nice, location is the best part. But won't use this hotel again

Room was adequate, we found rubbish in the room and bathroom from previous guests. No air conditioning in the room but there was a fan. Was given a sheet with some basic information of hotel, surrounding area I.e. places to eat and train station. It said if we needed a iron, ironing board, hairdryer or top up of toiletries to ask. So we took it that there was no hairline the room already and asked to be told I don't know if we have one. The gentleman went away came back with one. Room was spacious, bed very comfortable one side of the bed was not made at all and it's the last thing you expect to do when you're getting into bed late in the evening, There was a big mirror beside the bed that looked like someone had opened a can of drink over it. No hand soap what so ever in the bathroom at all, just 2 small sachets one body wash and the other shampoo. Windows close but have a gap round the top so doesn't fully sit in the frame, curtains keep out all of the light perfectly. Now the parking which is extremely limited and I feel you should be warned that it is as we drove round for 30 minutes trying to find somewhere as there was a lot of work vans parked there.
