Property is located in a quiet area surrounded by trees. There’s minimum traffic and it is easily accessible from the main avenue. Cleanliness can improve as there was human hair in the bathroom sink area and the floor. Shower was clogged and you needed to make sure there was no water accumulated. Worst thing was that the bathroom door was broken and there was no way to use it. It was completely disengaged from the wall. This was reported to the owners but it was not fixed during the stay. The room had good lighting and the bed was comfortable. Some of the walls and furniture had damage and stains. Advertisement pictures reflect a time when the room was in much better conditions.

Casa Espana is a run-down, poorly managed property that does not match its positive online photos. I've posted videos and photos of my concerns on a Google Maps review to inform future guests of the condition of the hotel. 1. Room & Amenities * Severe Damage: The tiny room has water damage, peeling ceiling paint, and a bathroom full of black mold. * Lack of Comfort: It lacks basic furniture, forcing guests to keep luggage on the floor. * Insect Issues: Windows lack screens, allowing mosquitoes and other insects to enter freely. * Blinding Light: A translucent glass door has no curtains, letting in intense sunrise light. 2. Location & Security * Inconvenient Layout: Located on a restaurant roof, requiring a two-flight climb with no elevator. * Poor Location: Situated far from the historic center (Centro) in a residential area. * Safety Concerns: Surrounding buildings have electric fences, but this property lacks any security. * Self-Check-In: There is no staff or reception; entry requires navigating three separate passcode/lockbox steps. 3. Noise & Management * Unbearable Noise: Freight trains pass 24/7, constantly blowing horns at a nearby uncontrolled crossing. * Unhelpful Management: The manager, Miguel O., refused a room change for the mold and noise. * Fair Pricing Issues: After checking out two nights early, the guest was still charged for one night plus taxes for all three nights.

No staff on site for check-in. Terrible customer support as they don’t respect the policy shown on Expedia regarding changes to your reservation. The room was so tiny and the photos provided aren’t even close to the reality of the place!!! It looks like the photos were taken 10 years ago and no maintenance was done whatsoever. Horrible smell of moisture and wall paint shipped and damaged furniture.

La habitación estaba limpia, se siente muy apretada, se suponía que era un espacio para 3 personas así se realizó la reservación, pero es demasiado pequeña. El sofá cama, estaba un poco dañado, lámparas dañadas, el ventilador de torre que te pone en la habitación no es suficiente y menos en las fechas en las que se reservó abril, no cuenta con aire acondicionado a considerar es un factor importante. Lo que gusto es la terraza que tiene fuera de la habitación y que tiene entrada independiente al resto de la casa. Raro que para pasar a tu espacio reservado tiene que moverse los clientes del café justo en la puerta hay una mesa.
