I checked in for less than 5 minutes. My first sensation when I walked into the bedroom was the terrible smell of sweaty people. So I checked the bedsheets, and I was terrified to see how many stains were covering them. I'm not even sure the duvet has ever met a washing machine. For me, it was simply impossible to stay. I went to the lobby to complain, and they offered me another room. The smell was much better, but when I checked the pillows... it was a definite no. One was a dirty shade of white, and the other was a beautiful shade of yellow, courtesy of all the previous sweaty nights. I politely asked for a refund, which was refused—without much surprise. As the front desk agent explained, even though the pillow was yellow, he personally couldn't smell anything... Apparently, that's the new standard for cleanliness.

When we booked for a night we were conscious that the hotel is a relatively no frills place (a bit dilapidated, simple furniture, but clean) and expected no luxury. What we also not expected in our room was a continuous very noisy sound of water streaming through pipes (a problem with the airco piping ? a lack of noise insulation between the room and an adjacent technical facility ?). We made a voice recording of the noise and asked reception whether they could explain this noise and perhaps make it go away or offer an alternative room. Our request fell on a cold stone, and we were told by the lady at reception that somebody may come and have a look later that day, but that in any event they could not do anything because the owners of the hotel were abroad (sic). Since the hotel could not remedy the noise issue or offer an alternative room, we decided not to stay and asked for a refund (the room was prepaid through Expedia) which was flatly refused. There was no intention to accommodate us in any way. We had the luck to find a nice alternative hotel just around the corner.

Chambre un peu petite pour l'ouverture de nos 2 grandes valises, mais propre et calme. Un balcon avec vue sur la mer et le bruit des vagues, et une vue sur le port de Propriano. Le petit plus : le petit déjeuner buffet est compris dans le prix. L'hôtel est calme car en-dehors du centre ville (qui est accessible à quelques minutes en voiture). Personnel très accueillant.

Bra hotell lokalisert 15 minutters gåtur fra bysentrum. Rent og pent gjennom hele hotellet og på rommet. Det som trekker ned høy fuktighet i underetasjene og på rommene der, lukter mugg. Enkel men god frokost, samt veldig hyggelig og hjelpsomme personale. Gratis parkering utenfor hotellet, men ble fort fullt. Herlig privat strand med egen strandrestaurant.
