I had high hopes for my stay at this hotel, but my experience quickly turned into a nightmare. When we first checked in, the room seemed clean enough, but the bathroom was almost unbearable due to a horrible smell coming from the sink drain. The odor lingered, making it difficult to relax. The real trouble began when both my friend and I woke up with itchy bites. Suspecting bed bugs, we reported the issue to the front desk. To their credit, the staff responded by changing our room, which at least remedied the bathroom odor. However, the new room was on the first floor, and I soon discovered the patio door wouldn’t lock—a major security concern that left me feeling uneasy.Unfortunately, the room change did not solve all our problems. My friend continued to develop blisters from the bites, making me wonder if there was an allergy at play or if the infestation had spread. Regardless, it was clear that our comfort and safety were compromised. To add insult to injury, we had booked through Expedia, and the hotel insisted there was no way to refund our remaining two pre-paid nights. We decided our health and peace of mind were worth more than the money lost, so we packed up and checked into a Marriott about 10 mins away, forfeiting our two unused nights each. While the staff tried to address our concerns, the presence of bed bugs, persistent odors, and security flaws in the new room made this stay one I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Lack of refund or compensation added to the frustration
