Hotel still seems fresh out of construction. The bed and the room (#5) was perfect, with a mosquito net, comfortable medium bed, just right!! Very clean room, smelled good too.
The shower had really good hot water, and the room I transferred to had conditioner and two small bars of soap, but no shampoo. On the bed, only a sheet, no cover. So I went to the other room and grabbed the cover from my old space instead of waiting to work this all out via WhatsApp with the owner who had a worker on site.
There was no soap or conditioner in the first room, and it was loud because the roof is thatched covered, and could hear the tv from the upper deck where the people who lived there were watching a game., so I asked to be moved to a smaller and better room. They did it quickly and easily
The host was very kind and attentive. The breakfast was toast and scrambled egg, a pad of butter and some jelly. I was offered juice but no coffee. Basic but came with the room cost. I would say “free” but I did pay a bit high price so, it was expected:). There are animals on the property. A few cats meowing for food, so if you like cats you are in luck. A dog or two also walking around too. The hotel is near town and easy walk to the beach, down a dusty road that looks like it’s under construction. The whole town looks like it’s trying to be a tourist destination but very few people are visiting. So, lots of people will ask you if you need a tuk tuk/taxi. I might have been the only guest.
