I wished this was my holiday home!!

We loved loved our no.22 Chalet. Everything was clean, modern, warm, well decorated and just super nice to come back to after a day up thr mountains. We enjoyed soaking up in the spas also..was so relaxing. We will definitely be returning next time we come back to Ohakune for our ski trip.

Cozy apartments and very friendly service

Super cozy chalets located ~10 minutes walk from the center of Ohakune. Two separate bedrooms and a large living room provides a great setting for down-time if you need a break from exploring the gorgeous surroundings. The chalet has a functional kitchen, but Ohakune has an excellent selection of restaurants for people who - like us - are too lazy to cook. We can especially recommend the Mountain Rocks café for breakfast. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and given great recommendations of which walks best fit our desires for waterfalls and general fitness. All in all, a terrific experience, and we'll definitely be back!

The accommodation was a very clean and comfortable independent cabin. In particular, the kitchen, bathroom, and washing machine were excellent. However, there was no view, and it took about 30 minutes by car to get to Tongariro National Park.

Safety Concern

We were living in the room close to the main road. It could be quite haunting during the night and I was almost sleepless during the first night. And I have to leave all the lights on to make it looks like people are awake. I tried to use the hot bath but the room is locked all the time. Hotels.com is definitely responsible to manifest a 10 out 10 rating in this hotel, it’s simply not that good! Strongly won’t suggest ladies and kids to stay alone.

We really enjoyed our stay at chalet no.7. It was clean, comfortable, warm and had everything we needed. Loved having the fireplace with wood supplied. Lots of space for our family of 2adults and 2 kids. Parking right next to our chalet. Safe and quiet even though we were near main road. So convenient to Ohakune town, carrot adventure park and ski field. Having our own spa out back was an added bonus. Friendly reception- very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come stay again.
