It's not the most modern hotel, but it is well maintained and has excellent location. And perhaps most importantly, it has a shelter in the basement.

Absent a pool, a sauna, but they have the lobby bar and restaurant. And nice view to the city!

This place is great especially if you are a fan of Soviet nostalgia. It is a grand old hotel built when Comrade Stalin controlled this part of the world but other than the careful restoration, there is nothing Soviet about this place. Super helpful staff, great access to the city, and fully renovated rooms and bathrooms!

Operating in full blown war is not easy. Staff are doing their best. During my week it was full scale attack, slept/stayed in the shelter almost all nights. The shelters are eqipeed with bed sheets, pillows and blankets, toilet and shower and us located four floors down. No lift. Food in restaurant is good and they have beer. Supermarket is found close in shopping centre.

The location is excellent. The view is unbeatable. It’s right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of everything. However, the breakfast is very simple and the internet is poor. Still, I will always stay at Ukraina.
