8/10 Very good

The property was dated but the room and bathroom were clean and functional.
Michael, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good location but tired property

Room was just okay. TV didn’t work and water had to run for 15-20 minutes before it got warm. You get what you pay for.
Judith, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Perfectly Fine.

It’s pricey for an ancient, outdated place but it’s clean, the AC is freezing cold and the showers are hot. The bed was comfortable, it worked well for one night.
Corey, 1-night trip

No blinds on windows, mold on shower curtain tub didn’t drain well.
Frank, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Worst room ever

when we arrived, there was no one at the desk just an envelope with our name and the key. The elevator was not working. so, we had to use the stairs. When we got to the room it was verry small. the queen bed took most of the room. As we walked in the floor was moving under our feet. The bathroom was tinny, when you would sit on the toilet your head was in the sink. The TV didn't work. If it wasn't late WE would have left for some were else. Worst room I ever stayed at. Hotels.com should be ashamed for offering this place.
Jean, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Cleaner, quieter, less run-down and better staffed than anticipated - great sleep, affordable stay.
Michael, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Decent spot. Blinds in the bathroom were broken, need to be replaced.
David, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The worse place I've ever been! Really old in a urgent need of restoration!
Erard, 1-night trip

Affordable and great
Angelina, 1-night trip

Good price but bare bones: no window shades, except bathroom; peeling paint on wood trim and wall paint splotchy; stained carpet; no cell charge station in room; dirty windows; cardboard towels; half role TP in bathroom; bed , pillows, AC ok; clean for the most part.
William, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was clean and basic. The wallpaper in the bathroom was pealing off the walls in Room 104 and the was no water pressure in sink. The tub pressure was awesome. The place needs updating, but there was construction going on in the floors above, so maybe soon it'll be better soon.
Kerm, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

The rooms need updating, but everything was clean and location is perfect and the price is right
Gerald, 2-night trip

Overall nice and quite.
Scott, 5-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It’s an old timer with lots of character. It has great lobby and great room (fireplace, old leather furniture etc. I like that kind of hotel.
Scott, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

Where to begin. Upon arrival at the hotel, we found our key left on the desk with my name, room number and key inside an envelope- no one at the desk. The elevator was broken, the room was 90 degrees, there was dog food on the floor in the corner of the bathroom and we were only given 1 towel for 2 people to use for a 3 night stay. On the paper that was left in the room it had a number to text or call for service since no one was there. I was told someone would be there at 9am the following morning with a towel and to clean the bathroom. That didn’t happen. It took almost 24 hours to even get a towel delivered to our room. Despite the Wi-Fi password being left in the room, the Wi-Fi didn’t work. The TV didn’t work. Definitely had an uneasy feeling staying in this hotel. Other than the bed being a comfy tempurpedic and it being a close walk to Main Street, there was nothing positive about this place. Spend the couple extra dollars and book somewhere else. We loved the Maple Leaf Inn and Townhouse Lodge for past stays!
Briana, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

If I had known there was no elevator I would not have booked there. Building is very old and reminds me of a cheap retirement home. It’s not falling apart but it needs updating. Beds were clean but light bulbs were missing. Holes in wall poorly patched, stairs are a challenge for older people or those with mobility problems.
James, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

There was nobody working on site, no elevator, stairs are hard for old people. Toilet clogged and over flowed. The tv was too small. A window in the shower.
Melissa, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Old, but nice, clean and affordable
bill, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Stay away if your are smart.

The bed had only 2 pillows and 1 small blanket. The TV was the size of a microwave and we could not get any channels to work. The internet was terrible and could not be used. There were no shampoo, conditioner or bar soap. No person at front desk just a key in an envelope. Wall paper falling off the wall
Steve, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

More reasonable price than most places to stay in Lake Placid (considering all i was looking for is a placeto sleep and shower). Comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom, comfortable (sun heated rooms to point i needed to open the window to cool it down. It's an older building needing some attention, but is acceptable for a place to crash.
Wade, 2-night trip

Great place for someone passing through the town. Bed was comfortable and easy check in.
Kasey, 1-night trip

Great economical and historical place to enjoy our vacation. Clean and shows ADK heritage. Hope it always stays this way
Karthik, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Close to main st and easy to access for day hikes and activities
Elizabeth, 2-night trip

DO NOT STAY HERE! No one working in the hotel before 4. Waited an hour for someone to check us in. Finally someone showed up to work but he disappeared up stairs. Never saw him again. Called the phone number for help checking and the person was completely unhelpful. Said we just had to wait. Not accessible at all. You have to carry your bags up narrow stairs.
