This was such a great place to stay! It was clean, cozy and peaceful. We were able to walk to and from downtown to great shops and restaurants. The owners were kind and accessible if we needed anything. It’s obvious that a lot of thought and care has gone into this space. Will definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!

Super cute little motel. An older building of 6 units each one being completely re-done. Charming decor and clean. Self check in was very simple. Much like some other reviews, there is no entrance sign on Rt 20 so it’s a bit hidden. Would definitely stay again!

The Gate is a hidden gem! Super clean, super comfortable, fantastic shower...everything was like new! This place was excellent for a couples weekend getaway. We really enjoyed having our own kitchen with the relaxing living space. A nice sized bedroom with the most comfortable bed ever! Everything was perfect, including the ease of walking into town to shop, dine and have drinks! To top it off, I left some clothing items behind and Seth the owner called and offered to mail the items to me...talk about outstanding guest services! We would definitely return for another stay in the future. A 5-Star accomodation for certain. Book this place, you will glad you did!

This is a completely new remodel, set back from Rt. 20 behind a house. The "kitchenette" is more expansive than most in suites of this type, occupying the back wall of the "living room," which features a comfy sofa opposite an enormous flat-screen TV. A little tricky to find, as there was no sign out front--but they have now remedied that! There are only 6 units, which makes it nice. The only real downside was the price. Hotels.com gigged me $336 for one night. Had a very pleasant chat with the owner, who suggested _calling them directly_ for substantial savings.
