The Onix Liceo is a fabulous hotel. The location is so convenient to any direction you want to go in Barcelona, right off La Ramblas, but extremely quiet. The front desk couldn’t be more pleasant or helpful. The room was extremely clean, which is my requirement, air conditioning was great, and the Wifi worked well. Overall, the hotel was wonderful!!! Highly recommend it.

Good location, rooms a little dated & found hairs ect in shower area! Coffee machine not working for 2 out of 3 days of our stay so had to buy from cafe next door which wasn’t ideal. Reception staff friendly. Overall would give 3/5.

2/10 Poor

I had stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and remembered it being amazing. I returned, and was sadly disappointed. The staff are excellent. The property has not been maintained. Rooms have broken cabinetry. Our room for the first 3 days had a sewer gas smell. When we informed the staff, they sprayed air freshener. The bad smell is linked to some plumbing issue they are facing, but they cannot seem to fix it. On our return trip back, the a/c did not work in our room. When we notified the staff at 3 pm in the afternoon, they stated that the technician had left for the day and will not return till the next mornin. We were give a fan. Mind you this is Summer in Spain. The next day, the technician apparently came at 7 am and they did not want to wake us, so they could not repair the a/c. We were given an alternate room at least. No discounts. No comped night. I hope the manager of the hotel reads this and makes changes. The location of the property is great. Needs a revamp.

Property in a great location and well cared for. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very adequate. Only issue was A/C had been shut off for the season and windows needed to be left open overnight.

Perfect spot for a base in Barcelona, right next to gothic quarter and las ramblas, lots of restaurants and shopping, and metro access to go anywhere else. You could also walk to barceloneta beach. The facility was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed our room which had a terrace! :)
